5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Red Horizon is almost a liqueur. It is fruity sweet with notes of peach, passion fruit and tangerine. Lovely warming alcohol with full body reminds a lot about cognac. Not the boring and cheap cognac, but a really nice and soft cognac / armagnac. It can (and should not) be simply enjoy a very long time because there really talk about a masterpiece.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Reddish orange color, aroma had some alcohol, orange fruits and spices.
Some malt in the body, more tropical fruits and spice, quite a lot of apricots. The malt gives off some nice sweetness, possibly some molasses here also along with plums, all stone fruits. Like a barleywine.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I got this from pushkinwow a few years back and i just avoided drinking it, waiting to share it with someone. Colour is a murky brown/amber. Aroma is alcohol, dark fruits. Flavour is a rich caramel, alcohol not really that strong, apples, vanilla. Truly this is delicious, not sure if waiting 3 years helps or not but it was enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
8.5 oz. bottle shared with drsordr. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have quite a bit of fruit, sweet malts, sake yeast, still a big alcohol burn, caramel, some spicy character, apples, at one point I got a hint of smoke, surprised at how boozy this still was.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared by alexsdad06 pours hazy dark amber with thin white head. Nose surprisingly fruit for this big beer. Candied apple, toffee, some pear. Taste moderate sweet up front, similar fruit character to nose, fairly crisp for older beer. Mid palate moderate bitter and definite alcohol. Some continue alcohol on finish with some malt.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
8.5 oz. bottle from The Wine and Cheese Place. Purchased in 2010, but I guess this was brewed in 2009. Original 17% version. Pours a cloudy amber color with virtually no head. Warms the nostrils, and has a sort of spicy edge to it, too. Notes of sweet and caramel malts, brown sugar and maybe some toasted cane sugar, too, earth, a bit of cardboard, and vanilla. Hard to pin down. Rice and beans? Medium-bodied, with a boozy, spicy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Pretty interesting. I am a sake novice and had no idea what to expect with this hybrid ale.
