Bottle, shared march 30th 2013. Hazy orange body, big white head. Aroma is fruity with black pepper, herbs and pale malt. Taste is mild peppery with yeast notes, grassy hops and citrus. Light bitterness, and a lasting aftertaste of roasted pepper. A little more pepper wouldn’t hurt in my opinion, but nevertheless it’s a really nice brew.

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy brownish amber colour with a big whipped eggwhite-like off-white head, Aroma of pepper, berries, citrus and tropical fruits. Lots of the same in the flavour but is sweeter and with more spices and pepper. Hops in the end. Has a rich and slick mouth feel, and a light to medium bitterness. Much spices in this ale but it’s all well balanced. Nice one!

Amber color. Lots and lots of white, foamy head. Belgian style yeast, light pepper, malt aroma. Light sour and bitterness. Good body for the style.

Bottled at Babajan, Stockholm. Hazy amber, rich mildly gushing head. Fruity nose with plenty of black pepper. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with some caramel, but dominated by black pepper. Low bitterness, no pepper heat. Interesting and unusual, although completely dominated by black pepper.

Bottle at NK Bar. Hazy amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is fruity, malt, citrus. Flavour is citrus, malt, some hops. Surprisingly lacking in pepper flavour. A decent beer, but nothing special.

50 cl bottle from Vinmonopolet CC Vest. Pours very hazy orange with a large light brown head. Aroma of pepper, orange and some hops. Flavour is Orange, pepper with notes of malt and hops. Full body, medium bitter, medium carbonation. Enjoyed with a veal tenderloin dinner. Excellent stuff.

Aroma hints at the pepper but this could be a beer with spicy hopping and a malty sweetness. The flavour really gives the pepper away with a lingering spiciness. There is also a firm bitterness to balance the maltiness.
