3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 EdKing (775) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2012
Bottle from Cask Pub & Kitchen. Pours very clear amber, foaming big head which stays. Nose is yeasty, sweet malt, caramel, sugary meringue, hay, horse dung. Taste is touch disappointing. This is no saison dupont. It’s nice though. Crisp, little bit yeasty, light, touch of malt sweetness, touch grassy. It’s almost like a yeasty lager, but the finish is sour bitter saison.

Orangebrown colour, two cm head (but that depends on how you pour. You can easily get a huge head if you want to).
Smells yeasty and sweet.
Spicy and bitter aftertaste. Round, yeasty with a little bit of sugar. Not very sweet.
Thin to medium body. Moderate carbonation. Very refreshing, easy to like. Maybe a little trace of citrus as well.
I’ve had 12-15 of these and they grow on you, if you like the first the subsequent ones will be better and better. At least thats my experience. I recommend it. Try it.

Draft @ Avenue Pub. Lovely hazy luminescent honey golden orange with large loose lasting head and nice lace. Aroma and flavors both zesty pure delicate citrus depth satsuma, mandarins family with meat, juice, pith, and zest all together. Happily hopped, clean, and well-made. A surprising treat. Not wacky or yeasty. Had in to go cup waiting for streetcar from avenue pub. Loved every sip.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Stephanos (617) - NORTHERN IRELAND - JAN 7, 2012
Dry and spicy nose with that hint of horseblanket and lactic acid I love in saisons. Some underlying ester character Mid-blonde with fluffy white head that soon collapses to a lacing. Fruity up front with malt sweetness middle finishing dry and spicy, slightly yeasty and earthy (those EKG again) and perhaps some banana peel. Fairly prickly carbonation
