3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hotstuff (3213) - Indiana, USA - JUL 11, 2008
Bottle. Small white head that mostly diminished, spotty amounts of lacing, cloudy, visible carbonation, and a golden hue. The aroma was malt, hops, some spicy notes, lightly peppery, yeasty, and citrus fruits. Ditto for the flavor. The mouthfeel was sprite and this beer is medium in body. Quaffable, decent for the style but there are better of this style to be had IMO. Not a lot of character with this beer and while it is not a bad beer by any means, it did not leave me wanting to seek this one out again. Worthy of a try.

Nice and Spicy. A great representation of the style! Ginger and Cinnimon. Crisp finish. Belgian-esque esters.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Merrill (77) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 2, 2008
Bottle chilled. Opens wild with foam spilling out. Pours yellow and cloudy with a whit head that stays and a nice lace. Aroma of citrus and spice like a Belgian. Apricots and thyme. Flavor immediately sweet and wheatey - probably the best a wheat beer has to offer. Citrus and a background of of hops and a slight touch of alcohol. The finish is pleasantly hoppy and somewhat crisp - not cloying as some wheat and tripels can be.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 redlem (1203) - Ohio, USA - JUN 27, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 28, 2008 poured with almost no head formation or retention in my mikasa goblet, a flat saison? a little too medicinal for me as i get alot of bandaid in this. strong belgian yeast notes. overall it is difficult to drink and not refreshing. seems more like a tripel than a saison.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 aracauna (2649) - Georgia, USA - JUN 21, 2008
After coming in from filling holes in the yard, this is quite the tasty beer. The aroma is definitely yeasty, but there’s a refreshing citrus fruit that blends nicely with this. Honestly, this is a little like a witbier, especially with the marked wheat profile in the malt bill, but it’s got that bite in the back that makes it more like some of the drier Saisons I’ve had. Good beer.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 espenra (609) - Kurland, NORWAY - JUN 21, 2008
50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. Batch 285 It poured a orange colour with a big creamy head. It has a sweet and floral aroma that smells of malts and kiwifruits. The flavor is slightly bitter and tastes of wheats, oranges and brown sugar. It has a lingering and bitter aftertaste.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Pinball (7771) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 7, 2008
very floral aroma, a bit too sweet for my taste. looks a bit boring too, not entirely clear, and small white head. good taste, bitterness combined with fruity sweetness. nice palate.. Overall quite a good beer.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lubiere (6707) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 25, 2008
A hazy golden ale with a thin white head. A very pleasant spiced aroma with maple, apples, cardamom and licorice. In mouth, a funky spicy malt with orange peels, candy sugars, light cloves. Very refreshing example of the style. Bieropholie import. BB 21-02-08. Sampled early May 2008.
