3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 steview (904) - San Francisco, California, USA - APR 27, 2008
light citrus, bread aroma; low to medium carbonation; a bit rich, buttery, with a somewhat sticky palate; this is an alright brew.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mjs (2865) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 26, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 24, 2011 (Re-rate, bottle, 0.5 l - batch #619, brewed 190411, from Alko, 20110624)
The beer poured golden and a little bit hazy. Its head was white, medium sized and quite dense. Aroma had fruitiness, spices, mildly sourness and yeastiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, spices, sourness, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. Not a stylewise perfect saison but a taste beer still.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 SQNfan (591) - Wheaton, Illinois, USA - APR 20, 2008
Cloudy golden in color with some orange running through. Amomas are light and show off spice and lemon. The palate was light and very drinkable with a bitter/hoppy finish and the flavors from the nose running through. Pretty simple and quaffable but my least favorite Nogne so far...of course, that may be as much stylistic as anything.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Grovlam (4106) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 18, 2008
Average fine fizzy white head that mostly lasted. Light cloudy sparkling pale golden color. Good display of lacework. Aroma of yeast, citrus, light spicy, nice fruity acidic. Over the palate came lots of fruit and acidic with some yeast / banana like notes and a hint of again spice. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and dry texture. Moderated sweet flavor with light acidic. Fruity acidic like finish with a touch of spice. Quit nice Saison I must say and very drinkable.

Pours with a yellow color and a smallish head. Aromas of grapefruit and some funkiness. Lemon flavors with some yeast and a subtle funkiness. A somewhat hoppy, bitter finish. Medium bodied and refreshing, an easy drinking saison.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 clong83 (265) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 12, 2008
Not what I was expecting of the style. Very smooth, and quite mild. Tastes more like a generic wheat than anything else to me. But I can’t dock it too much, there’s really nothing wrong with it per se.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 ketchepillar (874) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - APR 6, 2008
Aroma is underwhelming. I can detect a little bit of sourness and funkiness in there but it’s pretty tame. A little bit of light fresh fruit. And a little bit like ass. Tastes like Pear/apple juice that’s gone bad. Drying without much bitterness. Finish is growing on me, there’s still a cheap lager aspect to it. The fruitiness in the beer is quite evident, yet hidden; it’s like a fat kid hiding behind a telephone pole, you know he’s there, but the telephone pole is still in front. The fruit is also mixed w/ some spices.
