Hazy orange with white head. Malty fruity orange - very fresh. Slight yeasty & spicy notes notes. Nice flowery hoppiness. Very smooth & drinkable. Medium filling texture. Nice!

Bottle (500ml). Via trade with Boutip. Cloudy, thick-looking yellow with an amber tinge, smallish fizzy white head. Pungent spice and yeast aroma, plenty of sweet fruit/hard candy malt body. Taste is an interesting mix - saison spice and yeast, hefe body and maltiness, belgian wit life, with extra body and more floral hop and alcohol than I’d expect in any of those styles. Thick, syrupy body, good carbonation, impressive thick spice in the linger. Solid, beefy beer - thanks, Phil!

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2012 In short: A classic style blond Saison. Very good
How: Bottle 500ml, consumed very fresh the day after purchase Norway Vinmonopolet store. Drank sitting on the Preikestolen, try to beat that you motherf**kers!!!
The look: Cloudy yellow-blond body topped by a medium white head with good retention
In long: Pleasant rustic yeast nose true to the style. Lively mouthfeel that is both fluffy and doughy. Rustic yeast, lemon pie with meringue, some oranges, a light spicy twist (coriander-ish). Leafy hops meet the yeast to create a finish that I would describe as fruity bitterness, like chewing on orange peels. Refreshing Saison. That beer has changed since the first time I had it many years ago, even the color is now paler than it used to be. Very good beer. Ok, so Norwegians know more about Saisons than just winter.

(Bottle) Pours orange. Spicy, herb-ish aroma with coriander, clove and nutmeg. Light fruity with some apricot and orange peel. Some hints of dough like yeast. Spicy and light fruity flavour coriander, clove, nutmeg and white pepper. Light sweet and light citrusy bitter with notes of orange peel and a touch of lemon. A bit dryish. Medium body. My (Blursi) new favourite Saison.

Hazy honey gold hue, with an off-white head, yeasty, fruity nose of ripe apples and peaches, hint of cinnamon spiciness, floral hops, faint toastiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity character of peaches, ripe apples and a subtle curaçao note, a bit citrusy, a spicy nutmeg, coriander and flowery hop accent, leading towards a spicy, hop bitterness finish.

sayravai (4667) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 6, 2007
(Bottled) Opaque reddish-orange color with a smallish, but lacy and lasting head. Fruity, very "belgian" aroma of strawberries, yeast and flowery-perfumy hops - much like Dulle Teve without syrup. Yeasty, flowery-hoppy, blood-grapefruity flavor with pineapples, passion fruit, and some ashiness. Medium to full-bodied, neutral palate with soft carbonation. Not at all Saison Duponty, but something between the Fantomes and Dulle Teve. Anyway, a very enjoyable and balanced brew.
