UPDATED: DEC 23, 2012 Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of lemon zest, pepper, Juicy Fruit gum, dried pineapple. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A solid example...very bright and pleasant, flowery, toasty, lemon-zesty aroma, and good balance. Doesn’t quite have the magic that makes 4+ brews, but it’s close.

Golden color with a smallish off-white head. Sweet malt and honey aromas dominate. Light citric and dusty yeast in the backdrop. Sweet malt start with hints of mild caramel. Some lemon zest and coriander in mid gulp. Touch of alcohol in the finish and linger. Finish has a light apricot and mild vanilla hint. Quite bitter and woody in the finish.

Pours cloudy dark yellow borderline orange. Descent finger thick white head. Nose is of spices and banana with some lighter malt notes as well as pepper. Flavor is similar but this beer is incredibly smooth. I’m not huge on saisons but this girl was a beaut. Very drinkable.

Bottle. Cloudy orange. Heavy foam bed resting atop the beer. The foam looks like it would hold a fingerprint. Strong scent of citrus and spices, mostly peppery. Flavour seems tamed, very drinkable and approachable for a Saison. Dry until the last sip which is shockingly sweet by comparison.

Bottle at St Albans BF 2007. Cloudy gold with thick beige head. Nice light saisony lemondadey aroma. Some creaminess in mouth. Good citrusy hop on end. Pretty good, light, lively, saisony. Good herby hop. I like the tangerine hop on it.
