Enjoyed from a 16.9oz bottle in a stemless wine glass. The beer pours a nice medium yellow color, with a moderate white head. The nose is initially a bit unpleasant, showing grainy notes mixed with an unnamed aroma. However, as the beer warms, pleasant notes of lemongrass, southern hemisphere spices, and citrus come through. The palate reveals a well-brewed and conceived saison; light spice and lemon up front, a slight malt character in the mid-palate, and a dry finish. Mouthfeel and carbonation are appropriate to style. Overall, a very enjoyable example that, perhaps as an apt indication of this enigmatic style, takes its time to reveal its true beauty.

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a yellow/ gold/ copper, with about a half finger of pure white head, some minor lines of lace. Nose is spot on for style, spice, a touch of funk, a bit of the citrus you find with some euro wheat beers. Tastes sweet, wheaty, citrus and a touch of bitterness from the hops. The spice is hard to place completely, but I do get some peppercorn. Quite sessionable.

the aroma is malty with hints of flowers, herbs, straw and citrus... the taste is malty and fruity with notes of orange, herbs and spices... smooth hoppy bitterness... dry, sweet and bitter aftertaste... good saison...

500ml bottle at Beer Station, Xiamen. Pours hazy golden yellow with a white head. Aroma of yeast and malt. Bitter finish. Not much going on here. Thought I’d choose Nogne O for rate 500 but this was a little disappointing.

Hazy light orange beer with big white head. Aroma and flavor have grass, honey, Belgian yeast, apple, orange, coriander, pepper and other spices. Palate is quite thick with medium carbonation. Finish has medium bitterness. Decent, but could be more refreshing, it’s kind of creamy and heavy.

500 ml bottle from LCBO. Brewed 27.02.13, batch # 930. Pours a murky yellow with minimal white head. Below average carbonation. Nose has some yeasty funk, fruit. Same for the taste, some bitterness and tartness on the finish.. Weak nose/flavour, Needs more everything.

Strangely disatisfied with this one. I normally love Nogne Ø but is one didn’t dazzle me. Golden colour with some red highlights and a thin white head. Smells of yeast, flowers and honey. Tastes about he same.i did enjoy it but I didn’t love it.
