Enjoyed from a 16.9oz bottle in a stemless wine glass. The beer pours a nice medium yellow color, with a moderate white head. The nose is initially a bit unpleasant, showing grainy notes mixed with an unnamed aroma. However, as the beer warms, pleasant notes of lemongrass, southern hemisphere spices, and citrus come through. The palate reveals a well-brewed and conceived saison; light spice and lemon up front, a slight malt character in the mid-palate, and a dry finish. Mouthfeel and carbonation are appropriate to style. Overall, a very enjoyable example that, perhaps as an apt indication of this enigmatic style, takes its time to reveal its true beauty.

Golden color, medium carbonation. Smells a little of barn, pond water, and apple or pears. Medium to low bitterness. Strong phenolic yeast flavors. Refreshing and nice. A good saison.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The foam is flimsy and aroma reminiscent of a wheat beer. Besides wheat smells too spicy coriander and a little orange. Flavor is slightly tart floral sensation that quickly turns into a mild and round malt flavor which in turn goes into a protracted hop bitterness which incidentally is rich and is well balanced. As a whole, I find it very comfortable, but wheat is still lurking in my subconscious. In a blind test, I had probably guessed that it was a hefeweizen of the good German kind. I’m actually a little disappointed.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Golden in colour, light body, but full of flavour with hints of lemon zest, earth, hay, and bready malt. Had a wet, musty lingering to it.
Lot of apples and grassy tones in this beer along with some pepper. The finishes had a crisp bitterness that makes you want to experience it all again.

Fizzy and mildly yeasty. Some weedy base. Not super impressive. This is rather mainstream.
