@ Beertemple. Orange colored brew. Hoppy, citrus in the aroma. Falvor has a lot of citrus hops, medium bitter, a bit dull.

Bottle thanks to Cuso. Aroma is mostly hoppy with citra showing nicely. Amber coloured. Taste is pleasant hoppy, exotic fruits, nicely showing what citra is capable of without overdoing anything. Maybe I would wish a bit drier fermentation to this one.

Keg at Ma Che, Roma, 11/02/14. Lightly hazed orange amber with a good sized off white head. Nose is floral hop, mandarin, light piss, citric twinges. Taste comprises peaches, earthy hoppage, orange pith, bread dough, malt notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough IPA.

Draft @ Hoppy Loft.

Pours a dark amber body with a quite large, creamy, eggnog head that is both very long-lived and laces the glass very well. The aroma is very strong and has lovely notes of tropical fruits but also quite much caramel. Far more caramel than your average american IPA. The caramel is even more evident in the flavour profile, and along with it a moderate sweetness. For a brew that wants to showcase a single hop (which I guess is the case for a beer with "single hop" in its name), I think the malty part is a bit too dominating, both when it comes to the strong caramel flavour and the quite high sweetness. I guess this is Nøgne’s definition of a British style IPA... The finish is moderate plus bitter, but the sweetness could have handled even more bitterness. Still, this is definitely a hop driven beer, with tropical fruits, grapefruit and resinous notes. The mouthfeel is pleasant, the body is medium, the texture is slightly oily and the carbonation is moderate. A very nice IPA indeed.

deep caramel colored, with a an intense caramel aroma as well, slightly set off by spicy herbal notes. taste is well balanced sweet malty caramel with distinct spicy bitterness. i have tasted a better/fresher version of this i’m sure..
