Draught. Deep amber, beige head. Rich aroma, oak, smoke, malt, vnilla, caramel, chocolate. Semi-sweet, full bodied, high bitterness, creamy CO2. Malty, smoky taste, oak, vanilla, caramel, chocolate, tannins, iodine. Complex. (2012-05-11)

Tap at DØE. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma and flavour of dried fruit, roasted malt, smoke and caramel.

Tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Pours dark brown with a very small offwhite head. Aroma of roasted malt, corn, peat, dark caramel, smoked bacon. Taste is roasted malts, peat, smoke, caramel, some sweet fruit. Full body, low carbonation. Nice smoked. 110512

Copenhagen Beer Celebration, 2012. Pours dark ruby amber with a small white head. Oak and glue. Some peat and caramel. Full bodied.

Draught at CBC 2012. Cloudy brown - white head. Oakey, vanilla, smokey, high smokey aroma, fruity, ok hoppy, medium malty, caramel, high oak and smoke.... it works.

CBC 2012. Pours dark red mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is smokey fruity sweet raisins fidges tary. Flavor similar to aroma, good bitterness, very fresh fruity and sweet with good bitter bite. Finishes bitter smoked and fruity.

Draught at CBC 2012. Clear orange-brown coloured with a small off-white head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel and smoke. Sweet and smoked flavour of caramel and oak. Sweet finish of smoke.

Sample at Ølfestival 2012. Very dark amber with little head. Hard to put into words how woody this beer smells. Huge oak presence which I really did enjoy. To taste it is to be feasting on a pork product of some desciption with a big, drying, oaky bite at the end. It’s faintly musty and lemony too. Despite the big body it feels thin and watery at times. Maybe that’s just the effects of the oak and smoke messing with my senses. For all its oddities and inconsistencies I found it hard not to be impressed with this beer, and I’d gladly try some more.

From tap. Pours clear and golden amber. Small off white had. Oaky wooden flavoured. Light chemical and smooth vanilla. Toasted malty and oaky dense finish. Smooth.
