Draught at CBC 2012. Cloudy brown - white head. Oakey, vanilla, smokey, high smokey aroma, fruity, ok hoppy, medium malty, caramel, high oak and smoke.... it works.

Keg at North Bar. Pours a mysteriously deep, copper brown. Aroma is fantastic, like the bourbon barrel version. Smells like an old library: smoke, oaky vanilla, leather, a hint of mustiness. Polish sausage present again, as.are caramel and figs. Taste is beautifully rich: smokey Polish sausage up front, with figs, caramel, oaky vanilla, a little biscuit. Sweet, but really nicely balanced, particularly by the cappuccino bitterness on the end. Tastes great tight around the mouth. Medium-full bodied. Ace. The bourbon barrel beats it, but only just - this is still wonderfully good.

Dark brown with whisper of a tan head. Whirlwind of peat and woody plum, I could swirl this for hours without a sip. Big boozy slats of baked fruits, dampened by a watery coffee thread. Mouthfeel is the right side of syrupy and a oaky vanilla linger to match. A really impressive foot up on an already impressive brew.

Keg @ North Bar. Dark brown colour, thin off-white head. Islay whisky, dark chocolate, vanilla, oak and a touch of dark fruit on the nose. Taste is smoked meat, peat smoke, caramel and a touch of bitter coffee. Finish is herbal, bitter and warming with a lingering smoke presence. Wonderfully soft and full palate. Fantastic.

Draught @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration
Pours dark reddish brown with a smooth foamy head. Strong smoked aroma with notes of oak, vanilla, wood, ash, berries and caramel malts. Taste is smoked and malty with some berries, oak and vanilla notes. Finish is malty with notes of smoked ham, ash and vanilla. Nice, tasty smoked beer.

CBC 2012. Pours dark red mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is smokey fruity sweet raisins fidges tary. Flavor similar to aroma, good bitterness, very fresh fruity and sweet with good bitter bite. Finishes bitter smoked and fruity.

Draught @ CBC ’12 as ”Sunturnbrew Oak’d”
Very slow bubbles coming from the bottom of my glass. Aroma is rather nice with smoke, wood and ash from a campfire. Also some artifical, finger colour -like notes. Flavour is very oaky and somewhat smoky with ash , wet wood and hints of tannine. Dry and somewhat leathery finish with throat-warming alcohol. Intensive, nice and not too stuffy.

Brown color. Aroma of peat, wood. Good malt and caramel flavor, with very good components of wood, vanilla and peat; strong alcohol presence and bitterness.
Excellent.

On draft @ HaandBryggeriet Beer festival 2012. Dark brown body with a small beige head. Aroma has roasted malt, smoke, perfume and Bourbon/Cognac. Flavor is sweet, smooth roasted malt, smoke, oak, dry fruit and both Bourbon/Cognac. Full body and aftertaste with smoke and warming alcohol. Very nice.

Draught @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012.
Pours a deep copper amber colour with a white head. Strong aroma of smoked wood, caramel and birch leaves. Flavour of strong smoked malts, caramel, smoked wood, sweet berries and some earthy notes. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a warming oaky finish with sweet berries. Has some similarities with Schlenkerla’s Eiche, without the oak overdose.
