"black w/ little/no head. diabetes in a bottle, but they somehow pulled it off. coffee added, but you could barely tell in the aroma and couldn’t taste it because the beer was SO strong and so sweet. char, licorice, super sweet malts, alcohol, lots of dark fruit and roastiness. deifintely a sipper. split a 8.5? oz bottle. a pint would kill, so drinkability is low, but as advertised...a nice dessert beer. too expensive to go back for, though."

.25 liter bottle, from JulienHuxley if I remember correctly. Pours a near black color with no head. Aroma of caramel, roast, vegetal and green notes, coffee. The taste is coffee, sweet malts, roasted malts, cherries, vanilla, booze, tootise rolls. Medium-full bodied, no carbonation, mildly hot. Pretty sweet but enough bitterness to balance.

Dark brown pour with an off-white head. The aroma is full of chocolate and sugar. The flavor is similar, with a ton of sugary sweetness, chocolate, caramel and toffee. Medium carbonation and thick mouthfeel.

Assaggio da bottiglia @ cantinetta. Nera liscia. Ricorda molto un liquore al caffè, dolciastra ma ben equilibrata. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhold

Black with fast disappering light brown head. Smells like overripe fruit, chocolate, cherries and a hint of coffee. Flavour is sweet, cherries, plums, raisins, chocolate and coffee. Nice full body with a balanced but sweet coffee finish.

Pour is black with no head at all. No visible carbonation. Aroma is very sweet with notes of overripe fruit, coffee grounds, and brown sugar. Flavor is a sticky and sweet bomb - dark sugar syrup, cherry juice, fresh coffee. Slight alcohol in the finish, but its masked well.

Backlog. Intensely sweet with dark cherries and dried fruits and a hint of chocolate. Although not really my cup of tea it’s just one of those beers that just sticks on your palate forever.

Bottle. 14%. Best before 30.06.15. Pours black with a small, fast-disappearing light tan head. Slightly tart, sweetish dark fruit aroma, with a light berry note, a faint acetone note, remote cold coffee note, and a faint touch of chocolate. Flavour is sweet, almost sugary, with dark fruits. Same finish, with an alcohol burn and lingering vermouth-like and faint coffee notes. Caramel as it warms. Overall pretty good; the sweetness is pretty strong, but works nonetheless. 31.01.14.
