Sweet Horizon is dessert for the ones with a sweet tooth. Black and velvety, with hints of sweet chocolate, fruit, coffee, licorice......... Hmmmm! But remember, this is dessert, so do not try to have dessert with it!

Kaatuu snifter-lasiin mustana ja vaahdottomana. Haju on ennen kaikkea maltaisen alkoholinen, mutta muitakin hajuja löytyy. Niihin kuuluu paahteisuus, lakritsisuus, suklaa ja yrttisyys. Maku on todella makean siirappisen maltainen, alkoholinen, paahteisen leipäinen, rusinainen ja suklaatakin löytyy. Suutuntuma on todella tahmea, lähes ällöttävän makea.

Shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks a lot, Brad! The beer is dark brown and viscous with just a slight, wispy, dark beige head. The head offers little retention and no lacing. The aroma offers malt, roast, and sweet booze. Though the beer is indeed sweet, it is very well done. Syrupy and viscous with low carbonation. This drinks like a sweet imperial stout. Very interesting. The reviews are all over the place on this one, but I rather enjoyed it. A small serving is ample, but I would certainly have this again. Full-bodied, perfect, taste lasts for a long time, suitably carbonated, textbook-like, not so distinctive.

Very dark brown color, dark brown small head. Sweet, coffee, solvents, alcohol scent. very sweet, malty, sugary, coffee taste. sWeet and coffee, some of Creme Brulee aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. I don’t like my beers sweet and this is over the top for me.

250ml bottle. Ruby brown with no head. Anise, alcohol, bit of prune, light molasses, toffee, mild chocolate. Diabetes sweet, low carbnonation, moderate body, booze, syrupy. Found this one to be a bit of a mess to be honest.

Aged a couple years. Definitely more mild. Some burnt coffee notes followed by intense sweetness. Touches of chocolate and dark fruit. Overall, too sweet to be really great ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gloopy dark brown pour with no head. Massive syrupy sweetness with raisin, truffle, brownie, and fig abounding. Sugary chocolate dark fruit prevails throughout. Sticky sweet syrupy body with a smacking finish. One dimensional and far too cloying for me.

THOUGHTS: Tons of coffee. Layer upon layer of it really. And plenty of alcohol. Overly sweet, though. I had hoped two years of aging would have dried it out a little. Just glad I didn’t try it fresh. This could probably age for another 10 years. It went nicely with peanut butter. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a dark brown that was opaque black in the glass with virtually no head, but what little was there was light brown and left only a slight ring where the beer met the glass. The aroma had heavy SUGAR and both mild and strong coffee; hints of chocolate; licorice; and alcohol. The initial flavor was heavily sweet; while the finish was harshly sweet and alcoholic with a long duration. There was all sorts of coffee including coffee liqueur, sugar, cream, a little dark fruit, alcohol, coffee, candy and chocolate. The medium to full body was very oily with rather soft carbonation and a slightly metallic and moderate to heavily alcoholic finish.

Aroma has sweet licorice and dark coffee and chocolate, syrup. Black with no head. Taste is really sweet, full body, soft, velvet feel, no carbonation, sweet finish, bit sherry flavor here. Oh yeah, oh hell yeah. Alcohol is well hidden. Recommended.
