3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Backlog. Intensely sweet with dark cherries and dried fruits and a hint of chocolate. Although not really my cup of tea it’s just one of those beers that just sticks on your palate forever.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. 14%. Best before 30.06.15. Pours black with a small, fast-disappearing light tan head. Slightly tart, sweetish dark fruit aroma, with a light berry note, a faint acetone note, remote cold coffee note, and a faint touch of chocolate. Flavour is sweet, almost sugary, with dark fruits. Same finish, with an alcohol burn and lingering vermouth-like and faint coffee notes. Caramel as it warms. Overall pretty good; the sweetness is pretty strong, but works nonetheless. 31.01.14.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
250ml bottle. Black colour with a small brown head. Notes of sweet and roasted malts, fruits (plums and raisins), chocolate, coffee and alcohol. Heavy sweetness and moderate bitterness in the flavour and a dry, bitter finish. Full-bodied with a oily texture and very soft carbonation. A bit too sweet for me, but nevertheless very good!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to the Norwegian contingent. Black pour with very little carbonation, not a shocker. Sweet, very sweet. Licorice, vanilla, cream, and caramel. Brown sugar, roasted malt, and a touch of ash. A touch of coffee. Flavors of fudge, vanilla, brown sugar, cream, and caramel. Some roasted malt, licorice, coffee, and a hint of smoke. Not surprisingly, some booze, too.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Now, Finally it’s my turn to have a go at this.
Pour murky very dark brown, with no head at all.
Aroma is sugary sweet, molasses, vanilla, light burnt sugar slight dark fruits. This thing really does hide the booze well. (It almost feels like a port wine?)
The taste is crazily sweet... As it should be given the name.
Slight thick n’ oily, with a quite flat carb. Since I do have a sweet tooth, this was something I enjoyed...

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours dark brown/black with no head...light sediment. Aroma has boozy roastiness...mild ash and bitter dark chocolate. Flavor is sweet!...raisins, brown sugar, molasses, chocolate, coffee, and dark fruit that comes across almost like port...lots going on! Mouthfeel is medium and syrupy with a roasty dakr fruit/molasses finish that warms. This is way too sweet for me...definitely a dessert beer!!
