Bottle. Black body, no head. Sweet roasty aroma with vanilla, peach and toffee. Taste is very sweet, adding licorice and an alcoholic coffee finish. Coffee with cream that is, not black. Good everlasting roasted and sweet aftertaste.

Aroma is very sweet, coffee, some chocolate powder (milk chocolate) and some licorice very sweet licorice. Taste is very very sweet, lots of chocolate, coffee and syrup. The sweetness was largely over powering in the beginning but the coffee took over in the end and gave it a slight bitter finish, burnt syrup tones in the middle. Tasted like a cold cup of coffee with about 10 lumps of sugar dissolved in it.

Bottle at home. Has a deep brown to black, cola-like color with a small, light brown head that disappears quickly. Complex aroma where I pick up coffee, ash, leather, black currants, caramel, liqueur, oak, alcohol. The flavor follows up and is quite heavy and sweet with lots of taste. Here’s caramel, liqueur, oak, brown sugar, licorice, some chocolate, and ash and coffee in the aftertaste that lingers. Full-bodied, oily and sticky mouth feel, and has a light bitterness. A big dessert of a beer that is both very aromatic and tasteful. Heavy stuff and really complex.

Bottle. Pours pitch sirupy black with non-exsisting head, very vinous. Aroma is heavy sweet, puddersukker, grapes, port and sherry, oxidised, kailua, coffee, sweet sugar, blackberries, liquor and malt. Taste is super sweet, definitely a sipper, puddersukker, caramel, fudge, sugar, sirup, sherry and port. Very sweet, liquorish, dry coffee, booze, subtle roast adds a tiny balane. Sticky and sweet as f... No balance. Full body.

0.25 L bottle from Bieropholie in a nice tin canister, served cool in a tulip glass. Brewed 30/06/2008, BB 30/06/2018.

App.: Deep brown-black with no head at all. Aroma: Intense molasses, quite sweet, lighter coffee notes, somewhat boozy, darker/blacker notes that border on black peppercorns. Palate: Medium-full body with sparse, fine, prickly carbonation, syrupy. Flav.: Moderately intense coffee, quite sweet, fairly fruity, plenty of booze, so sweet, dark chocolate, dessert for sure; intensely sweet with fairly high bitterness (balanced) and a long, inky, boozy, sweet malt and coffee finish.

Would be a great after dinner drink. I had dinner tonight...that counts.
