3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Flemishgael (2) - Carrigaline, IRELAND - MAY 18, 2013 does not count
It poors a nice amber to orange colour with a foamy, creamy head that is steady. The smell is sweet with a hint of peat. The taste is that if a good tripel: sweet and rich. The aftertaste is peaty and smoky. All in all a good tripel with a bite. I would like more coriander, sweetness and citrus in a tripel though. The aftertaste is just peaty and smoky and not very pleasant. I believe that more caramelly malts would have been desired. The taste is that of hay and bread with a herbal undertone. The aroma is quite yeasty and smells of a freshly made dough. More classic tripel flavours are drowned out by a sharp peaty taste that tastes like alcohol.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 reebtogi (3259) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 12, 2013
500ml bottle pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger of white head that settles to reveal some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is light fruits and yeast. Taste is a light fruity and grainy malt sweetness with a citrus and grassy hop bitterness and a yeasty dry finish. Medium bodied with generous carbonation providing a pleasant sensation on the palate. Overall, this is a very respectable Belgian style tripel and definitely recommended for a sampling.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tom10101 (1046) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 5, 2013
Bottle (500 ml). Thanks to czar! Hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of peated malt, grapefruits and malt/caramel. Taste is about the same. Medium body. Peated malt make this one hard to drink. Interesting beer, but I won’t seek it again. Sometimes, it’s better to stick to the style...
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 BadAprilia1000 (156) - Sevierville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 27, 2013
Pours a hazy golden color with a thins frothy head. The aroma on this beer is huge. Smells of sour apples, apricots, honey, oranges, and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is very lively and light. Crisp sharp notes of all the fruit i mentioned in the aroma show up with a slight peppery note. Great beer! I could drink these very easily considering its a 9% beer.

Pours Gold with a short white head. Nose of booze, wheat, and candy. Yeasty pizza dough. Very very sweet. Crazy sweet. Honey, wheat, citric lemon drop. Carbonation is too soft and makes it cloying and heavy.

True to its style, this is indeed a realy good Abbey tripel. Although the waiter tried to sell this as an IPA, he didnt fool me ;) Pours hazy golden color with white head. Quite sweet, easy drinkable, with quite a lot of yeast sticking out. Perfect summer ale.
