Ingredients: Malted barley, wheat, malted wheat, sugar, hops, yeast and local Grimstad water. It is very difficult to brew a complex and balanced Belgian-style tripel ale, but we have made an attempt at brewing one anyway! Our respect and admiration for those who master the skill and art of brewing excellent ale of this style is limitless. Tripels often pair with cheese, seafood and fresh vegetables.

"not what i expected from the style. as a matter of fact, i’m not sure i;d be able to tell this was supposed to be a tripel if it was a blind tasting. lacks the fruity yeastiness and has a thicker body - like a tripel/barleywine hybrid. sweet, but not in the same way as most in the style. malt more apparent than yeast. cloudy orange, and thick. ok overall, but missed the style mark. a bit on the boring side for Nogne O."

[5566-20130701] Bottle. Smoked cleaner fluid grainy aroma. Slightly hazy, orange brown body with a quick foamy off-white head. Smoky grains flavour has a bit of a light fruity base. Medium body. Average. (6/3/6/3/13) 3.1

Bottle @ Vini Mundi, Nice. Pale amber-orange with a small carbonation and very little head. There’s some citrus orange fruit although the strength of the ale is dominant.

BOTTLE 50CL from Cunningham. Look: hazy golden with an unexpectedly humble head. Aroma: blond stone-fruit with a healthy dose of higher alcohols. Taste: fruit, moderate sweetness, quite alcoholic. A bit disappointing.

500ml bottle, from Dutch’s. Shared with abistany. Best by portion of the label is blank, but I know it’s been in our cooler for at least a year now. Mostly hazy golden orange color. Many fine particles suspended in the body. Thin off-white ring of head. Some loose dots of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Light bready malt, belgian yeast, moderate spice, some light banana and mild fruity esters. Moderate bitter taste, light to moderate sweet, a light alcohol warmth that isn’t bothersome at all, pretty nice. Pretty nice enjoyable tripel. My sister particularly enjoyed it.
