Ingredients: Malted barley, wheat, malted wheat, sugar, hops, yeast and local Grimstad water. It is very difficult to brew a complex and balanced Belgian-style tripel ale, but we have made an attempt at brewing one anyway! Our respect and admiration for those who master the skill and art of brewing excellent ale of this style is limitless. Tripels often pair with cheese, seafood and fresh vegetables.

Pint bottle from Stirchley Wines & Spirits, Birmingham. Well, it was a pint until the bottle turned to Vesuvius when opened. Schoolboy error. Cloudy light orange like pineapple juice. Aroma is complex and intense - ginger beer and citrus lemon/pineapple with slight grass. Like the taste and - sweet but not too sweet citrus tang. Balance could do with a tad more bitterness - it’s over a tad quickly and it’s fizz rather than bitterness that lingers. It’s not heavy, despite the ABV. Very good but just not quite worth a 4

tripel inusuale..il birrificio prometteva benissimo, questo bisogna dirlo..però qui qualcosa non va (almeno per i miei gusti)..tripel spenta in tutti i campi..ovviamente bevibile e non da buttare,ma sotto la media

Bottled 25/01/14. A gold to copper coloured beer with a lasting bright white head. A yeasty and dry bready aroma. Yeasty, sweet sour and floral in the mouth. Dry biscuits. A bit of fruit. Nice enough but a little underdeveloped in that nothing really goes as far as it promises.

A bit out of whack for the style but a nice crisp and yeast based flavour profile. Pours a hazy bright yellow with a cap of tight but large off white bubbles. The nose is fruity and zesty with big notes of coriander and grassy esters. Nice crisp, full bodied wheat and yeast flavour with zesty lemon and orange rind notes. A hint of citrus hops, mild grassy and hits of pepper and coriander.

Oransje i fargen, nesten uten skum. Aroma er appelsin/citron. Malt. Smaken er appelsin, karamell og malt. Også alkoholen er merkbar i smaken. Medium konsistens, lite kullsyre. Mildt bitter i ettersmaken.

500 ml bottle. Pours a sediment-filled and murky orange with a short lived white head. Aroma is yeast, spices, oranges and lemons. Flavor is oranges, yeast, vanilla cake and white sugar. Finish is lemon, good bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Good tripel.

The beer is a hazy orange/yellow with a large white head initially that quickly diminishes to a light lacing across the top. The aroma is mild spices, caramel and roasted notes. The taste is a classic tripel combo of spices, yeast and fruitiness with a twist! There is a subtle smokiness that builds as you drink it. The after taste is a pleasant alcohol warmth that makes you want more!
