COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
21°P, 35 IBU.
Ingredients: Malted barley, wheat, malted wheat, sugar, hops, yeast and local Grimstad water. It is very difficult to brew a complex and balanced Belgian-style tripel ale, but we have made an attempt at brewing one anyway! Our respect and admiration for those who master the skill and art of brewing excellent ale of this style is limitless. Tripels often pair with cheese, seafood and fresh vegetables.

It pours hay-coloured and very hazy; the head is off-white and foamy. The aroma has notes of: candied apricots, lemon-marmalade, alcohol, and candy-sugar. The taste is light sweet that finishes light bitter; there are notes of: grapefruit, apricots, alcohol, and mango. The palate is medium-full bodied, sticky, medium carbonation (tiny bubbles), and a long finish. Overall, boring, but well executed.

Hazy golden straw, white head. Nose is malt, herbal notes, hops, yeast. Flavor is some sugar and yeast with malt and hoppy notes, fruit. Finish on the hoppy side with some yeast. Lingering hops and yeast. Touch of booze. Nice one. Shared by martjoobolut, thanks!

0,5L bottle (from Koht, Tallinn). Pours hazy orange-amber with beige head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is sweet, spices, fruits, malt, grass. Flavor is sweet, fruits, citrus, orange, malt, some bitterness. Some alcohol is showing, but otherwise nicely balanced. Overall: good one.

Spot on looks for the style. Layered malt bill, both caramel and pale plus some toast. Very balanced. Added some classic hops as works just really well. Spiced but in modération, as it should. Taste is on the bitter side for the style, but that lifts it up to be a bit more interesting. Great example from a style that the Belgian already perfected long ago, and then some. This beer therefore wasn’t exactly needed, but is great nonetheless. (50cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Pleasant, complex and quite intensive aroma of ripe fruits, yeast and spices. Large gushing made a lot of mess in the kitchen. Almost completely disappearing head. Hazy orange colour. Wonderful fruit sweetness with great bitterness to balance sweetness. Spices from Belgian yeast and delicate acidity makes this beer realy great.
