COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Tindved is a sour Norwegian ale brewed with Norwegian malted barley and raw wheat. We added juice from pressed sea buckthorn to obtain the brash sourness. Nøgne Ø ales are unfiltered and unpasteurized so pour carefully if you want to leave the natural yeast in the bottom of the bottle.

Pours hazy amber with low white head. Nose is hay, barnyard, apples, sour grapes, bretta. Taste is a light sour that gives in to a slightly sweet bretta finish. Mouthfeel is light, sticky with average carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

There is only one complaint I can make of this beer is its exorbitant price. The tartness is great and not too much. Very smooth finish almost. Excellent

Bottle, 250ml, from a Vinmonopolet in Oslo. A golden colour with a large white head. Aroma is sweet and sour with lemon and lime, candy, malt and yeast. Flavour has citrus (lime, grapefruit, lingonberry), more sweet candy, a hint of hop bitterness and some underlying malt notes. A little citric sourness along with coriander in the finish. Fairly high carbonation. Every sip of this tastes different to the last. An interesting brew to be sure, but not something I’d choose to drink again.

Pours a hazy golden colour, with no head. The aromas are neither hoppy nor malty, but there’s a slight hint of wild berries. The taste is sour, and not much else, and the mouthfeel is slightly sticky and sparkling. This is a beer that doesn’t have much of an aroma. It would probably make a good malty or hoppy sour beer, but the way it is, is not particularily impressive.

Bottle, 25cl - Clear orange beer with a small head and some laicing. Aroma is spicy with notes of citrus, red berries, buckthorn and brett. Flavor is sourish fruity with notes of citrus, red berries and wood. Very unique beer.

Mørk-korngul, uklar med mye hvitt skum. Mye kullsyre, mye futt under skjenking. Lukter syrlig og surt, litt alkohol lukt. Smaker syrlig og bær. Kort, men god ettersmak..

Clear, medium golden amber body with a fully lasting off-white head that really sticks to the glass. The aroma is strong and very funky, or as George Michael put it: "Hey, You’re Just Too Funky For Me". Strong notes of horse blanket are dominating, and I only get faint traces of tart berries. The same goes for the flavours. The finish is long-lasting and very acidic, also a light sourness. The beer is quite light-bodied and bone dry with a moderate carbonation. Too much horse and acidity, too little berries.

Pours a nice hazy straw color with a decent head & lace.

The aroma is odd but pleasant, funky, fruity, stinky, & bright...

The flavor is similarly odd & pleasant as the aroma. I don’t know what Sea Buckthorn tastes like, but the beer has got a nice sour fruit deal happening. The beer isn’t terribly dry, but it’s not got a whole lot of sweetness to it. It’s got a good lot of like seedy tart berry... I hesitate to say raspberry but it’s got a similar seedy earthiness that reminds me of some of the flavors that I like in raspberries. It’s got a light graininess to it...

Slow gusher. Clear honey orange in the glass with a frothy white head. Smell is of funky barnyard, sea bucktorn and wheat. The taste has a rich brett taste that both has barnyard and horseblanket as well as some apricot and other sweet fruit flavours. The sea bucktorn is not to dominating, but contributes to the general tartness and complexity of this beer. Surprisingly mild acidity and tartness in this beer, just pure brett domination all the way. I had this beer on several occasions when it was first released, both draft and bottle, and I have to say that it has developed rather nicely. Great stuff!

Dezent säuerlicher Antrunk mit bitteren Beinoten. Säuerlich erfrischend bleibend, erfrischend, etwas holzig. Herber werdend. 7/10/11/11//11
