COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Tindved is a sour Norwegian ale brewed with Norwegian malted barley and raw wheat. We added juice from pressed sea buckthorn to obtain the brash sourness. Nøgne Ø ales are unfiltered and unpasteurized so pour carefully if you want to leave the natural yeast in the bottom of the bottle.

Small offwhite head. Clear amber body with strong carbonation. Earthy funky barnyard aroma lingonberry and oranges aroma. Dry-sweetish, and faintly acidic, earthy funky barnyard taste with cow dung and salty lingonberry notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish earthy salty chemical lingonberry aftertaste with herbal floral oranges notes. Wow. This is pretty powerful stuff, flavour-wise. Must be brewed with brett. (0.25l bottle, wine monopoly, web order.)

Looks..Murky orange, sml head. Smells.. Farmyard, socks, old grapes, olive woody. Tastes..never had sea buckthorn, so hard to pick exactly what the fruit aspect is.. And orange flavoured blueberry? Some citrus and malts, tang and woody dryness.

1L squealer. Pours a light golden hue with a yeast ester/sour aroma. Fairly light flavour and sour taste, dominated by a light malt and fruity yeast flavours. Not really my thing.

Joint purchase with AdamJackson. Purchased @ Bierhalle Deconinck. 25 cl. bottle. HUGE GUSHER. We lostprobably most of the bottle. Amber, little white head. Rotting yoghurt nose, lactic sour malts, spoiled fruits. Smell is better than taste. Taste is same fizzy, rotting fruits, rotting, off yoghurt, malt, lactic,… Very fizzy. Just not good, a total waste of money. Insulting really.

Draught @ BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Mild berry sour, with the light resiny bitter of the thorn berry. Quite easygoing for a sour.

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a hazy golden orange with a generous white head. Some earthy, musty aromas with a hint of citrus and a slight seaside scent. Stonefruit comes through in the taste dept. as does slight spice and a citric bitterness that fades into a pleasant dryness.
