Tindved is a sour Norwegian ale brewed with Norwegian malted barley and raw wheat. We added juice from pressed sea buckthorn to obtain the brash sourness. Nøgne Ø ales are unfiltered and unpasteurized so pour carefully if you want to leave the natural yeast in the bottom of the bottle.

Small offwhite head. Clear amber body with strong carbonation. Earthy funky barnyard aroma lingonberry and oranges aroma. Dry-sweetish, and faintly acidic, earthy funky barnyard taste with cow dung and salty lingonberry notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish earthy salty chemical lingonberry aftertaste with herbal floral oranges notes. Wow. This is pretty powerful stuff, flavour-wise. Must be brewed with brett. 250ml bottle at home, thanks Jan! Hazy golden color with nice almost white head. Aroma is funky, fruity with orange and peach among others, also "sweet" caramel malty. Taste is funky - sour, citruisy and there is also some wood. Light to medium body, oily feel, average carbonation, light bitter, sour and dry finish.

On tap @Solobirra, Monza. Small/medium dense head with good duration; dark orange/golden colour, not fully clear. Quite pungent, really nice, aroma: flowers (rose notes), wild yeasts, sea salt, barnyard, and a bit fruity(berries). Taste it’s on the smell way: initially a bit fruity and sweet, then the saltiness and tartness come out. Fruity, zesty, savoury, yeasty, spicy, with a minimum hop presence (if any..), in a word "oceanic" (maybe from the sea buckthorn(?)mentioned in the description). Average carbonation, medium bodied, slick and fizzy texture. Really tasteful, refreshing and quite complex beer. Overall a high/medium sourness I would say and with a pleasent bit dry finish. Really enjoyed this, I would expected some better ratings/ comments, a bit underrated in my opinion. The draught version seemed really nice & fresh, I’ll get a bottle for sure. This would go just Perfectly with some SeaFood ; )

Bottle. Vibrant amber looking amber beer with a strong frothy white head. The aroma is sour with some spice, and the flavour is gently sour and yeasty with some spicy and dryness at the finish. Overall it's a sour beer, I'm not too much for the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark murky brown pour, very small beige head. Very fruity nose, lots of stone fruit, some pears and apples, and some orange candies. Malts are also very fruity, and this isnt very sour, but i would say its tart. Just enough.....the finish is light on the bitternss, the tartness never leaves. The malts are still quite sweet, there are not hops to speak of, and the fruitiness fades but remains predominant.

from bottle at mondial 2014, mtl. unclear pale but bright golden with a very nice white head offering a good retention and some nice lacing. leathery bretts, meds, sweetish honeyed maltiness, fruity - oranges, light and appreciable acidity - relatively complex, also grass, bitter herbs and an astringent vegetal presence. moderate carbonation, light to medium body - very oily, relatively dry musty-bretty-spicy-grassy-herbal finish.

Drank from bottle at the Mondial de la Bière 2014 in Montreal. Golden honey, small head. Fruity aroma and bitter herbs, really juicy. Taste sour fruit, green herbs, dry finish. It’s pretty nice!

Pours a slightly hazy golden with a small white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is fruity, perfumey and I get some fresh yellow fruits, something akin to apricots. Taste is lightly smoky (someone said bandaids) but not really offputting with some nice fruits and herbs that come out a bit vegetal at times with a moderate level of acidity. Body was light, carbonation high. A bit flawed but still enjoyable, this seabuckthorn does produce pretty unique drinks!

Bouteille au Mondial 2014. Couleur orangée pâle, faible mousse grisâtre. Arôme fruité, malt, un peu sûre. Goût fruité, malt, alcool, citronnelle, acidité faible, amertume subtile. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen.

Mondial 2014. Batch : 774. Conclusion : évolutive et/ou grandissante.
