COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Tindved is a sour Norwegian ale brewed with Norwegian malted barley and raw wheat. We added juice from pressed sea buckthorn to obtain the brash sourness. Nøgne Ø ales are unfiltered and unpasteurized so pour carefully if you want to leave the natural yeast in the bottom of the bottle.

Bottle. It’s a clear, golden beer topped by a small, dense, off-white head. Fresh aroma of berries, leather, citrus peel and barnyard. Some lightly spiced hints. Peppery. Oily mouthfeel, dry and pleasantly carbonated. Mild, berry flavor with a peppery hint, citrus notes and even more berries. Lasting finish with berries and some peppery hints. Sure not the most extreme sour beer I’ve had, but it’s easy drinkable and tasteful. Really pleasant to drink. 130304

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2014 Color anaranjado levemente gasificación. Una espuma suave, blanco que no dura mucho pero deja un lindo encaje. Levemente ácida muy refrescante a pesar de sus 7° y sabor muy persistente

Visual: Pours golden marmalade orange with a beautiful ultra-creamy lasting head, super sticky lacing, lots of tiny bubbled active streams. Nose: huge barnyard fruity apricot sourness. (lvl-10)-pungency Attack: creamy mouthfeel, immediate sourness Mid-palate: (lvl-1)-sweetness, huge sourness-tangy, tart, (MAIN) wheat malt, apricot, barnyard, woody Finish: more funk, very dry, soft-bitter hopped finish. Summary: Intense barnyard with bold dry sourness and a fruity apricot-wheat malt profile. It’s a decent combo but not something that I particularly loved or found to be awesome. Still it’s a quality brew that I’m sure fans of sours would appreciate.

8.5 FL OZ ($7.99) This was a treat, had a very unique flavor, closest I could say is a partially sour beer with martini olive flavor. I’d drink again. Bottle is mega small. but I could see this being a nice treat and not a get drunk on beer.

250 ml bottle. Gusher. Pours a light copper color with huge head. Aromas of barnyard/brett, old fruit/berries, and old socks. Flavors are brett and gooseberry like fruit. Sharp. OK once, but would not buy again. 1

15/XI/14 - 25cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ Struise Schooltje (Oostvleteren) - BB: 12/III/15, bottled: 12/III/12 (2014-1334) Thanks to 77ships for sharing the bottle!

Bit hazy beige orange beer, irregular off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: smoky, funky, peated touch, some urine smell, dirty, yuck! MF: soft to no carbon, light body. Taste: smoky, soft sourness, dirty, yeast, lemon skin, unpleasant bitterness, weird. Aftertaste: twigs and sprouts, bit dirty, funky, yeast, muddy taste.

Original price $12, price paid $1.75; totally worth it. Bottle poured into a tulip -- gusher with a strong sour aroma, and a clear golden orange color. Taste starts out sour and based on the strong sour aroma I was really waiting for a tart kick on the back end, some real pucker, but it just died off abruptly. Disappointing really. If not for the let-down, lack of pucker, I think this a very nice beer.

Bouteille 25cl, batch# 774, BB 12/03/2015, bottled 12/03/2012. Light gusher.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2014 On tap, Open Baladin, Rome. Amber, off-white head. Aroma sour fruits - goosberries? Light body, very fizzy feel on the palate. Taste mostly wild cherries. Not at all bad, but unfortunately not my style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Looks..Murky orange, sml head. Smells.. Farmyard, socks, old grapes, olive woody. Tastes..never had sea buckthorn, so hard to pick exactly what the fruit aspect is.. And orange flavoured blueberry? Some citrus and malts, tang and woody dryness.
