Tindved is a sour Norwegian ale brewed with Norwegian malted barley and raw wheat. We added juice from pressed sea buckthorn to obtain the brash sourness. Nøgne Ø ales are unfiltered and unpasteurized so pour carefully if you want to leave the natural yeast in the bottom of the bottle.

Bottle. It’s a clear, golden beer topped by a small, dense, off-white head. Fresh aroma of berries, leather, citrus peel and barnyard. Some lightly spiced hints. Peppery. Oily mouthfeel, dry and pleasantly carbonated. Mild, berry flavor with a peppery hint, citrus notes and even more berries. Lasting finish with berries and some peppery hints. Sure not the most extreme sour beer I’ve had, but it’s easy drinkable and tasteful. Really pleasant to drink. 130304

Not a big fan of Sour Ale, but this was something different. Aroma of berries, yeast and citrus. Taste of citrus, berries and herbs. The sea buckthorn fruit is very well represented in the aftertaste.

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a hazy golden orange with a generous white head. Some earthy, musty aromas with a hint of citrus and a slight seaside scent. Stonefruit comes through in the taste dept. as does slight spice and a citric bitterness that fades into a pleasant dryness.

On bottle at Beer 13. Golden hazy color, ok foam. High intensity fruit aromas, red berries. Medium body & high complexity. Very good sourness & some bitterness. Very enjoyable beer

Bottle. Hazy amber with deposits and huge white head. Nearly exploded out of the bottle. Aroma mainly sour, horse blanket, citric notes. Taste initially sour then very dry and bitter with some unpleasant grape sour bitternesse. Too dry and bitter for me. I would have prefered a little sweetness to balance it a bit.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours vibrant cloudy orange with a creamy white head. Aroma of old oranges, candied citrus, seafood, juniper. Smells like a good mixture of sour fruits, savoury maritime notes and a bit of citric sweetness. Flavours are a lot drier, sour orange, some fishy notes, hay, lemongrass. Nice and sour with bardnyard flavours intertwining. Moderate carbonation. Very unique brew, pretty complex.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. This is how I like my beers looking. A very vibrant orange with a sticky white cap which is quickly gone but leaves nice lacing. Nose is very orange juice forward with plenty of candied fruits, sugar and mango/tangerine. Taste is very tropical fruit driven but it has a distinct savoury note which reminds me of straight wheat and mild spice. The tropical juiciness is definitely there but it doesn’t leave much sweetness besides a light tang. Odd stuff as Tindved’s usually are but I like it

Perfectly bitter, tasty, exciting and sour ale from Nøgne Ø. Refreshing, and really well balanced. This one just confirms my addiction to this kind of beer.

Red cobber with white head. Active carbonation. Aroma is brett, citrus, hay and fruit. Easy fruity palate. Aftertaste is dry, funk and floral. Overall: easy drinking brett ale.

Bottle from Archive Beer Boutique. This is a very sour beer in a good way. Fills the mouth with a mouth puckering tartness.
