3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Brown 1/2L bottle pours a light yellow hue on somewhat hazy amber body.
Scents; fresh resin, hops, roasted malts, caramel malts.
Taste; lots of resin, hops, roasted malts, notes of caramel or toffee, and ashes.
Power on palate. Slightly floury. Good body. Suitable carbonation.
Finishes warming, still that roasted-sweet-strong malt, resin-hops.
Overall good strong IPA.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Fairly citrusy aroma, drinking from the bottle. Taste is a little off for a ’double’ IPA - not a gigantic hoppy bite like I expect but most of the bitterness and dryness. Would have loved some more citrus notes, but all in all a very respectable brew nonetheless.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle - Pours a murky darkish amber in color with a small white head that produced some small lacing on the glass and some yeasty "floaties" that settled quickly to the bottom of the glass. Aroma is of spicy hops with hints of grass. Flavor is somewhat muted for the style and for my liking... West Coast style DIPA, for sure, but needed more hops! Medium bitter finish. Really just OK...

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml brown bottle. Batch No 090, brewed 26.06.13, best before 26.06.15. A hazy orange pour. White foam which thins to a ring and leaves some patchy lacing. Aromas are of sweet toffee, orange peel, grapefruit. Taste has some big grapefruit and orange peel hops, and toffee malt sweetness. Finishes with citrus pith/peel. Medium bitterness. Medium bodied with good prickly carbonation. Big, but easy to drink, my kind of double IPA.
