Draft at Capone’s. Slightly light amber color with just a little head. Aroma is subdued, but there are notes of citrus fruits and slight pine. The flavor is really complex. It is both complex, showing a great amount of fruitiness, citrus fruits, even some apricots and maybe even some peach, but it also is incredibly easy to drink. Not hop-bombish bitter, but still has a lot of the over to the top characteristics. Really nice.

500ml bottle from Discount Waukesha. Pours an unclear coppery orange with a foamy head. Very nice lacing that sticks around forever. Aroma has sweet caramel and resin with some citrusy hops. Taste is of orange juice, caramel, resin and piney notes. A bit sticky. A nice blend of quite sweet and quite bitter. Finishes smoothy bittersweet with some alcohol showing up in the end. A good one!

Pours dark amber with a large head. Nose shows pine and aggressive hops along with a fair bit of rich caramel. Flavours are very similar, more pine, grapefruit and resinous hops before a big hit of sweet, syrupy caramel enters. Finishes with an aggressive but well-balanced piny bitterness. Carbonation could be higher to alleviate the thick, syrupy feel to the body.

THOUGHTS: Nice, but nothing exceptionally special. Well made and well balance. Hid alcohol fairly well. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a hazy to murky, medium to dark, orange with an average, off-white head that kept a very thin sheet and left fair lacing. The aroma contained moderate caramel; moderate to heavy floral, grapefruit and orange hops; some resinous hops later as it warmed; slight brown sugar; alcohol; apricot; and peaches. The initial flavor was heavily sweet, light to moderately bitter and lightly acidic; while the finish was moderately sweet and moderate to heavily bitter with a long duration. There was caramel, brown sugar, orange hops, grapefruit hops, pine and resin hops, apricot, peaches, and a hint of coffee. The slightly more than medium body was a little syrupy and then a little dry with soft carbonation and a slightly astringent and ever so slightly alcoholic finish.

Slightly hazy amber body with lasting white head. Aroma comes across a little sweet, orange and orange peel, taste is similar with the bitterness not too full on, drinkable but not my best IIPA.

500ml bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a reddish amber colour with with a nice 2cm head with solid lacing. Aroma is strong floral, with notes of pine and some tropical fruit thrown in. Taste is dry with lots of lovely tasting hops. Is a big beer but goes down easily for the alcohol level. Great beer!
