En aning skum framträder. Kraftig och frisk doft med smak av tropisk frukt, främst ananas med en tydlig grapebeska.

Orange coloured beer, head is ok. Sticks good. Good hoppy, grass, citrus. Slightly earthy, good biterness, with a good amount of sweetness that gets trough.

Lovely hazy orange colour with a medium off white head. A solid citric and fruity aroma. Massive hoppy beer with a good malty background. Also some nice fruity notes. Keep on brewing in the free world. Do not stop brewing this one please!
[Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Halden, Norway - without a batch number grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr]

Rating #400! Medium amber hazy body with a large, creamy, off-white head that is both very long-lived and leaves a curtain of foam clinging to the glass, beautiful! The sweet aroma is strong, although not as intense as some of the other (I)IPAs from Nøgne Ø. It’s moderate malty and heavy hoppy, with slightly overripe fruits as the most important element. A certain tropical fruity feel, but not as obvious as in many other (I)PAs. There are also notes of berries, I think I get strawberries. Finally there is dust, caramel, citric notes and alcohol. The taste is moderate sweet with a long-lasting, lingering heavy bitter finish. Strong flavours, again with slightly overripe fruits and berries, grapefruits and resin. Very obvious caramel notes, also some lightly roasted stuff in the back, of maybe it’s just the caramel that is a bit burnt. The alcohol is quite well hidden, but it’s definitely there. Medium to full body, a lovely oily texture, soft carbonation and despite the very sweet taste there is a touch of dryness the finish. A delicious beer, although I prefer the fruity parts a bit fresher and less overripe. The very obvious caramel and other malty notes are a good twist. This vessel is quite clearly commanded by both Captain Malt and Captain Hops; Two Captains indeed!

Pours a thick and cloudy amber and smells of bitey hops, citrus fruits and blood oranges. The taste is very refreshing but, unlike the best IIPA’s you can taste the alcohol volume, because some strong, harsh alcoholic notes are evident here

500ml bottle (Old Bank, Turku)
Poured by the barmaid with all the crud, so not necessarily as clean as it could be. Hazy orange, small persistent head. Slightly messy stodgy components to the aroma, but a plasant caramelly sweetness, and good sticky fruity hops. Comes alive in the mouth, a veritable smorgasbord of sticky fruity hops and juicy caramelly malts. Nice bitter tingle in the finish. Big fat and juicy, and feels like one you could return to pint after pint.

Bottle, dirty yellow lots of yeast sediment. Pine and resinous, typical strong ips flavour and aromas but nothing really distinguishing. Presentation lets it down a bit...

Bottle at Cafe Fiasco, Oslo. Bold orange body with huge head. Lots and lots of hops and citrus. Nice roasty and malty taste. Very nice blend. Gets sweet, caramel-like and then bitter in the finish.
