Flaske 0,5l fra bestillingsutvalget til Vinmonopolet. Gyldenbrun. Litt uklar. Høyt kremskum som varer veldig lenge. Nydelig appelsin / ferskenaroma. Avrundet smak med masse fruktnyanser. Toner ut i en markert fruktig bitterhet som varer. Og varer. Litt bunnfall. Sannelig dukker det ikke opp en tørr avslutning langt uti smaksbildet. KI=6

Bottle at løkka brygghus. Remember this from MM so I’m happy to see this at a pub, and in an NØ bottle. Strong tasty malt with a dry hoppy finish. Too dark here too see the color but it looks good from what I can see. Kind of expensive (139NOK/0,5ltr), but worth a buy nice in a while.

Out of the cask at Gourmet Haus in Redwood City. Pours a brilliant sunset orange with a slightly taupe head that is slightly rocky yet also cloud-like. Citrusy hops surprisingly jump off the nose with undertones of earth permeating - a lot of well balanced hops here. Taste predominates with malt backbone, the bitterness of the hops follows through the mid-to-late palate. The bold hop aroma shows itself more through bitterness than flavour. Taste is less balanced than the aroma let on. Mouthfeel is high alcohol and coating, with some chewy bread at the end.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 jikvig (269) - NORWAY - OCT 2, 2010
A wellmade DIPA, not as bitter as you would think.
Beautiful hop aromas, grass and sitrus as the dominating aromas, with a hint of herbs?
It got a really smooth taste, like I said, not to bitter at all. Rich and long aftertast, dominated by hop aromas, but wellbalanced with fruitynes!
