Tasted at the TAP Nøgne O food pairing for Matt's birthday. Had with the macaroni & cheese ball. Apparently brewed with the intention of mimicking Pliny the Elder (though doesn't taste much like it) and originally only brewed as a single batch but bought back by popular demand (and a Facebook campaign). Cloudy amber-tan, thin white head. Smells of fruity resin hop, malt - relatively faint. Taste is very resinous and hoppy, slight florals, some crisp grassiness, slight plastic (?). Body is medium with some airy carbonation.

Fourth beer at Nøgne TAP birthday lunch. Had years ago but not rated. Slightly translucent dark copper amber pour. Aroma is pronounced hoppiness - mostly resin, some dank ripe fruit. Taste is ripe fruit, lots of bitter resin, some plasticky hops taste, unfortunately. Better than I remember though. Not as boozy as expected. Finish is bitter but dissipates. Good not great DIPA

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy amber. Film of white head. Juicy, resinous, skunky, fusty hop. Lots of dank. Peachy, apricot fruitiness. Some vinous tartness. This smells fantastic. Something for everyone in this. Taste is lip sticking (literally) sweet, first off, prior to a juicy, resinous, oily bitterness. Palate is soft, smooth, and rich. This is good gear. Finishes long, herby, resinous bitter. Delicious.

Old rating rerated 07.03.2015, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is mild grassy, leafs, fresh hops, light malts, moss, citrus, lawn, hay. Taste is slightly concentrated harsh grassy, leafs, bark, hops, pine needles, lawn, moss, citrus peel, soil. Longlasting bitterness, slightly dry harsh mouthfeel. Nice enough.

Tallahassee, Fl - Quick N Save - 500 ml bottle. Slightly hazy, medium orange pour, off-white head that clings to the edge of the glass. Strong spruce aroma, floral hints, some nectarines. Flavor is full bodied with heavy citrus bitterness, a touch of nectarine fruitiness, some cake mix sweetness. Mouthfeel has a nice thickness to it. Pretty decent.
