Good imperial IPA. Supposedly a Pliny the Elder clone, but more malt forward and less grassy. Still pretty good. -- Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone.

Bottle in Perth, WA. Sweet, malty aroma with some orange fruit. Flavour had more caramel and fruit, before a dryish finish with a noticeable alcohol kick. Fine.

Bottle from the Abner Ale House. Pours hazy golden orange with small white head. Aromas of mangos, peaches, grapefruit, yeast, and bready malts. Flavors of bitter hops, grapefruit, tropical fruits, light yeast, and bread. Has a nice body and bitterness. Pretty solid I must say.

50 cl bottle @ Gastropub Nordic. Rated on 13.03.2011
Aroma has lots of hops with exotic fruits and hints of caramel. Flavour is sweetish with exotic fruits, hops, biscuits and caramel. I like the bite of hops here, otherwise this would be just another DIPA.

500 mL bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus hops, herbal notes, caramel malts and and a bit of a chlorine note. The taste is big citrus hops with big toffeeish malts. Medium-full bodied. Nice beer.

Det här är en välhumlad och välbalanserad sak, smaken präglas främst av lite citrus och kanske lite lakrits. Slutsats: en mycket god öl.

Bottle. Cloudy amber with a tall, fluffy beige head. Aroma is malty and sweet with caramel notes but has lots of citrus, melon and floral hops. Taste is citrus hops, orange juice, caramel, sweet malt and light spicy hops. Body is medium-full, slightly chewy, resinous and moderately carbonated. Finishes with more citrus fruit, apricot, hints of melon, caramel, sweet malt, spicy hops and floral notes.

Bottle from Great Grog, Edinburgh
Deep orange amber, some haze, thin frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of citrus hops, orange, tangerine, some soft grapefruit, light grassy hops, very slight peanut, juicy soft caramel malts, soft orange zest, subtle but quite complex, well blended
Taste of resinous hops, soft pithy grapefruit, soft orange zest, orange, juicy citrus fruits, soft grassy hops, slight pine, juicy malts , soft caramel, everything very well blended, complex, nothing astringent, dangerously drinkable, alcohol very well masked, more fruits in the taste than aroma, more understated than another DIPAs....but perhaps a bit too understated?
Palate soft carb. medium body, fairly light viscosity compared to other more viscous DIPAs. Finish as main flavour, soft bitterness, soft orange zest, clears off palate very well.
Overall - very elegant double IPA, very well balanced, nothing over the top.
