Bottle - Orange, mango and sweet grapefruit with a caramel malt backbone. Cloudy orange with a rich beige head. Caramel backbone with a big dose of resinous and bitter orange hops. Not bad, but a bit over resinous.

hazy light orange colour, not too much off-white head; aroma of pine resin, citrus, some grass, floral hops and some minimal sauerkraut; taste is dominated by bittersweet-ness - pine resin, citrus, significant maltyness...and intensive bitter aftertaste - my first Norwegian beer - and a masterpiece at the same time

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20

A bottle from Morten a Kansai Beer Lover from Norway! Thanks! This is a collaboration between a pilot who won a homebrew competition & Nogne’s brewer who used to be a pilot as well. It is an 8.5% Double IPA batch 970. It pours a great copper gold with a fluffy off-white head & a lovely fruity aroma with citrus, peach & then some resinous dank notes-very appetizing. Slick mouthfeel, medium body. Bitter bite then fruity & spicy with a bit of astringency & a counterbalancing caramel malt base. Really nice stuff, a great IPA verging on excellent. Bitter but balanced, nice with fajitas.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
50cl bottle. Cloudy golden with small to medium head.
NOSE : very pleasant aromas of citrus, pine and tart. Pomelo peel, candied orange, orange zest. Tart with some little booze. Ginger.
SIP : Medium thick with oily texture. The carbonation is moderate. The beer is sweet on the start and gets covered with strong citrus flavors pretty quick. Citrus fruity notes are getting a bit acidic but nothing off. The malt body is putting it down. Nice balance there. Finish is getting more and more bitter. The aftertaste is reminding me the one when you bite through an orange seed. Bitter and dry. Sweet tart still prevailing.
OVERALL : the beer is hiding well the alcohol and it is really delicious. I don’t drink ofter double IPA so I can only compare it to few others and this one seams on the fresh side. It’s certainly a damn good one.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Batch: 1009, 0,5L bottle. Intense aroma of hops, pine, honey, citrus, mayb even some grass. Pours copper with hints of red. Nice big white head (with very light tan). Head stays for a long time. Lively carbonation. Taste is intense bitter with some honey sweetness thrown in. Very nice choice of hops used - feels old and fresh at the same time. There are also noticable floral and maybe some malt in the background. It really doesn’t feel like 8,5% abv, no noticable alcohol. Overall: there is so much more to say, but the bottom line is that this is just really great beer!

Flaska från Vinmonopolet i Norge. Ljus bärstensfärgad med vitt skum. Citrus och apelsin paras med maltig sötma i doften. Lätt sötma möter rivig beska som brer ut sig eftersom. Fyllig munkänsla.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Reddish orange IPA body with a medium head. Aroma has piney hops with fresh orange. Rich body with loads of grapefruit, spruce needles and orange. Nice grapefruity DIPA that ticks all the right boxes and is neither overly resinous nor too caramelly. Immensely drinkable, 8.5% is well hidden.
