50cl bottle, brewed 26.02.14 batch 1135. Pours hazy orange with a thick uneven off white head that leaves some lacing. Some yeast on the bottom of the glass. Aroma is sweet malts, citrus, resin and some butterscotch as the beer warms up. Taste starts with a strong hops kick well backed by a good malty base. Some fruity sweetness, citrus peel, light butterscotch again. Very good dry bitter finish with resinous and vegetal notes. Long lasting bitter aftertaste. Full body, medium carbonation, very well hidden 8.5 ABV. Excellent.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2015 50 cl. bottle at home bought at Oslo Airport Duty Free. Like with some people, an aggressive introduction sometimes turns into a great friendship! The hops aroma of this IIPA attacked me more than it pleased me, but actually having this brew in my mouth convinced me that it was just its way of asserting itself! Have drunk it over more than two hours and like many younger wines, it just gained with being exposed to air and room temperature. So, the veridict? A great IIPA! Can compete with the best. Well balanced, high alcohol content kept in check, and a wonderful palate of hops, bitternes and just plain pleasure to drink. Will I buy this rather expensive IIPA again? Yes, but I might just let it breathe for 10 minutes, so it can find its balance.

500 ml bottle. Opaqure oranger yellow, off-white foam settles and mostly lasts. Aroma of fruity citrus hop, slightly floral, c-malt. Bitter stone fruity hop taste, bolder sweet caramel malts, medium roast, some grapefruit. Average carbonation, medium-full bodied, aggressively hopped. Dry. DNFL (Definitely Not For Lagerboys)

Bottle, 500ml. Murky amber with a frothy offwhite head with sticky lacing. Resinous floral aroma with hints of grapefruit, caramel, citrus. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth, creamy and slightly astringent. Sweet caramel character with nice bitterness. Excellent bitter alcohol and hop finish. Slightly disappointing, I was expecting the best IIPA ever.

Bottle @ Van Moll. 15cl Sample. The aroma has citrus, pine, some malt tones. Bit hazy, golden coloured beer with a thin, white head. The taste is moderate bitter has some biscuit malts, some pine. Still quite dry finish, easy going DIPA.

Found looking for something hoppy in Gilmore wine in Manila, Philippines. Haven’t had a truly hoppy beer and have lived off the local watery pilsner for 6 months so this tastes like heaven by comparison. As far as hops go, quite balanced and floral. Surely a crystal or honey malt, good as well. Nose is great, honey and citrus, might be my favorite thing about this beer. Good white lacing. Hop forward but very balanced in the taste, nice fruity hops and well balanced malt, albeit maltier than some of the doubles from the states. Nice.

Beautiful hazy orange body, nice round fruity and pine nose, good hoppy taste with pine and honey on the finish. Strong though balanced bitterness. A very good beer!

Wait, this is 8.5%? Doesn't feel like it! Really opaque orange colour with a dense, persistent head. Weird aroma of wet dog fur. Taste is back to normal, quite well hopped but not overly so.

Lovely sweet aroma, very hoppy. Pours a soft caramel with little white head. Strong smoked malt taste with medium carbonation and very bitter. The ABV is discreet. Good IPA though lacking in balance
