(bottle) A great and generous pick from Keg_Juggler. Wow, this is a treat! So smooth for a 100 IBU. Cloudy amber color with resiliant white head. Distinctive balance with hoppy flavor No trace of alcohol. The pinnacle of this style.

Batch: 1009, 0,5L bottle. Intense aroma of hops, pine, honey, citrus, mayb even some grass. Pours copper with hints of red. Nice big white head (with very light tan). Head stays for a long time. Lively carbonation. Taste is intense bitter with some honey sweetness thrown in. Very nice choice of hops used - feels old and fresh at the same time. There are also noticable floral and maybe some malt in the background. It really doesn’t feel like 8,5% abv, no noticable alcohol. Overall: there is so much more to say, but the bottom line is that this is just really great beer!

Bottle 0,5l. Hazy dark orange-amber body. Moderate sized off-white head. Streaking lacing. Nose is fairly malty but is accentuated by floral/grapefruit notes and a bit of sticky raisin. Flavor is similar but even more intense.Medium bodied, assertive carbonation, prickly, very bitter finish. IPA has never been my favorite type of beer, and a double IPA is intense, as expected. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy amber-orange with a monstrous white head (arguably the best retention I can recall seeing... and while I didn’t try it, I would almost bet on a penny not sinking through it) Nose is fairly resinous with a hint of farmy grassy-ness (cows?). Mouth is thick, full of pineapple and big tropical fruits and orange at the end, along with some of that farminess I was talking about. A whole lot like the WC IPAs from microbrewers in Cali (Port, Stone) and the hop-heavy Midwestern types (Three Floyds, Pipeworks). This one differentiates itself with that farmy-ness though. An outstanding beer that makes me want to go to Norway and drink some more.

Flaska från Vinmonopolet i Norge. Ljus bärstensfärgad med vitt skum. Citrus och apelsin paras med maltig sötma i doften. Lätt sötma möter rivig beska som brer ut sig eftersom. Fyllig munkänsla.

Bomber bottle. Pours copper orange, hazy. Think this ones off, because there’s no hop aroma, minimal hop taste, it’s just sweet malt.

A - Pours a turbid glowing orange with active carbonation. Nice rocky head that creates a moundy foam ceiling. This head does not fade below 1/4 of an inch. Think circles of lacing. Very beautiful looking beer. S - Heavy bready yeast, soapy hops. T - Assertive hops hit first. Bitter grapefruit oil and floral flavors mostly. Earthy pine starts showing up along with a bready chalky yeast. The hops create a dry bitterness that sticks to the tongue long after the finish. Some tropical and stone fruit mixes with tea tannins in the background. Sweet crackery malt gets wicked away with a very dry and bitter finish. M - Medium to moderate carbonation, light side of medium body. Bitterness seems to be the focus and it does a great job of delivering it. The aroma, however, is very lackluster. It seems to be one dimensional but it’s nice to see a hop forward DIPA. I would buy this again. Serving type: bottle 04-23-2012

The hops assault you the second you either smell or taste it. But this is not just a simple hop monster, this has a fruity kick. If you have ever owned a cricket bat the smell of linseed oil come through as well. This is a serious beer, this beer could look after itself in a bar fight.

Oh capitani, miei capitani!
