Tap 33cl. Grünerløkka Brygghus. Nice white sidesticking head. A citric fruity aroma, hard to tell. Sweet rotten pear perhaps. Sweet taste of syrup and sugar. Good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Flaa. Tmavo oranová farba, krásna biela pena, dlho drala. Vôňa sladká, ovocná, jemne karamelové tóny a broskyne. Taktie cítiť alkohol. V chuti sladkosť, kvetinové a ovocné tóny, grapefruit, trávovosť a zemitosť. Telo plné, pekná vyváenosť sladkosti a horkosti. Veľmi pitné, ale alkohol je dosť citeľnŭ.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUN 6, 2013 (50 cl bottle courtesy of Mark, thanks!; Batch 922; Brewed on June 2nd 2013) Pours a slightly hazy amber with little, white head. Decent retention, lace and regeneration. Aroma is yeasty with notes of citrusy hops. Oily texture, medium carbonation, full body and an astringent, warming finish. Flavour is bitter and boozy with sprucy notes.
Original rating from February 23rd 2013: (50 cl bottle from Den Nordiske Ĝlhandel; bbd: March 6th 201<illegible>) Pours a hazy amber with medium white head. Good retention and lace. Decent regeneration. Aroma is a subtle hoppy with fruity notes and an acidic hint. Oily texture, medium carbonation, full body with a warming finish. Taste is boozy with fruity notes and an astringent finish. Dipa is just not my favourite style. Girlfriend says "I like the aroma but its too bitter for me."

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500mL bottle from the LCBO. Total surprise to me that this was coming. Pours a hazy orange with a large off-white head with a lot of yeast. As the beer settles over a few minutes, tons of yeast chunks form on the bottom, which looks weird but fortunately Im not off-put by these things. The aroma is quite striking, it almost reminded me of carrots at first, but in a weirdly enticing way. Loads of hops with some hefty dry yeastiness and a nice tangerine quality. Flavour is equally pleasing, very hop forward but with a substantial malt body to balance it out, with a dry finish. The hop characters are sort of fruity and complex. Feels full on the palate, with minimal carbonation (always a plus in my mind). A richly satisfying beer, Im always glad when expensive Scandinavian beers end up not being over-attenuated malt bombs!

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks Shmupi. Orange golden with a big head. Smell of stale fruity hops, orange jam and caramel. Sweet-sour with some fruitiness and caramel, strong hops bitterness, a bit harsh and not balanced. Medium-bodied, not fresh enough.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The pour is a nearly murky, ambery, copper color with notable sediment and a full, white, pillowy, rocky head which settles to lasting pillowy layer and leaves plenty of drippy lace. The nose is predominantly piney, slightly resinous and floral, faintly smoky, a simcoe-like passion fruit or mango, maybe some toasted breads. The flavor is interesting with similar passion fruit, some white grapefruit, resinous pine, an odd tobacco note, still faint smoke, slight caramel, and bready yeast notes. The palate is more than medium, nearly lively, sticky, and oily. The beer finishes quite long with resins, slight smoke, faint bread, and a bitterness moving towards herbal. The beer is light to moderate in acidity and high in bitterness but only dries out in the lingering herbal bitterness. Not sure what to make of this one - lots of notes and qualities I enjoy in the style but the beer just seemed to not work well as a whole. The juicy fruit notes were nice, the palate worked well, the bitterness was balanced and not overly dry, and the pine gave the nose a wonderful dominant note. But the herbal bitterness in the finish was a weird twist, the tobacco note was just completely unexpected for an IIPA, and the more I try the beer, the flavor reminds me of chewing tobacco?? Not bad but this certainly would not be my winner for the competition.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured an orange-amber color with a froathy off-white head. Aroma is mostly grassy. Not very carbonated. Slightly sweet with fruit. Finish has grassy hops. Not the most complicated ipa but it is well balanced and drinkable.
