Flaska från Vinmonopolet i Norge. Ljus bärstensfärgad med vitt skum. Citrus och apelsin paras med maltig sötma i doften. Lätt sötma möter rivig beska som brer ut sig eftersom. Fyllig munkänsla.

Bottle. A hazy pale to medium amber beer, with an abìverage sized, frothy, fully lasting white head. The aroma is lightly malty (caramel), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin), with notes of oranges and exotic fruits juice. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately sour, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/oily texture, lively carbonation, very long finish with moderate to heavy bitterness, lightly to moderately alcoholic. It looks good and it has a very nice mouthfeeel, only lightly abrasive and not tongue scraping. Perhapos the aroma doesn’t add anything tgo the style, being maybe straightforward, but it’s pleasant. Solid example, as expected from Nogne O.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2014 500ml bottle served in a pint glass. A: Nice and classic Nogne bottle art. Pours a clear light orange color forming a huge and bubbled white head. Good retention and lots of soapy and lingering lacings formed and left in the glass S: Strong fruity and citrus notes. Grapefruit, pine and pineapple. Sweet pale grains. Flowery hops T: Slightly sweet upfront. Very citrus notes. Grapefruit, pineapple, pine. In overall, a slightly sweet taste followed by a strong and pleasant hops bitterness. Well hidden 8.5% ABV M: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Fruity, citrus and piny aftertaste O: Great drinkability. Another Nogne classic [ BA Review @ 6/27/2014 ]

500 nl. bottle pours a cloudy amber color with decent khaki head and some lacing. Aroma is full of citrus and piney hops, with enough caramel malt to keep things balanced. Taste is slightly sweet at first (malts) and then quite bitter for the finish. Body is medium without too much carbonation. A very enjoyable IIPA

Orange ambrée trouble, effervescence faible, col blanc crémeux tombe vite. Les houblons attaquent rapidement le palais, y déployant toute leur amertume fruitée et résineuse. Dommage qu’elle soit légèrement écoeurante...

Pours a particulate strewn honey gold with a tight lacing white head. Nose of leafy citrus hops and the tiniest trace of caramel. Nice mouthfeel. Lots of hop with some good chewy biscuity english influence on the malt. Quite bitter but backed up with a very smooth and even sweetness. Some peach, cotton candy, burnt sugar, and pepper. Finish is very bright. Fun beer. I can imagine that a year in the bottle would really make this shine. On a side note... the label is very attractive.

Bottle. Pours light copper with dense off white coloured head. Plenty of lacing as it falls away. Huge hop aromas on the nose dominated by citrus and light stone fruits. Very earthy back ground aromas showing some pine / grassiness. Flavours are dominated by wonderfully aggresive hop bitterness. No huge resiny hop aftertaste that seems to characterise this style. Medium mouthfeel. Good beer.

DAA; Pours hazy orange with off-white head. Aroma of fantastic, floral, fruity, citrus and sweets. And yes, taste is much the same, add balance between hop, sweetness and oily mouthfeel. Yes, and yes again; this is beer...!!

Pours orange amber with a small white head. Aroma has stale hops, caramel malts, hints of pineapple. Taste is very bitter and slight fruity. I guess this one is a tad too old.
