4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A rather mild double IPA with a smooth and mildly bitter taste and a nice, bitter finish. It has a full body as the finnish stays long in your mouth. A really enjoyable beer for a night.

Light amber with rich but fastly disappearing cap. Light aroma and excellent very rich IPA taste.

Batch: 1009, 0,5L bottle. Intense aroma of hops, pine, honey, citrus, mayb even some grass. Pours copper with hints of red. Nice big white head (with very light tan). Head stays for a long time. Lively carbonation. Taste is intense bitter with some honey sweetness thrown in. Very nice choice of hops used - feels old and fresh at the same time. There are also noticable floral and maybe some malt in the background. It really doesn’t feel like 8,5% abv, no noticable alcohol. Overall: there is so much more to say, but the bottom line is that this is just really great beer!

hazy light orange colour, not too much off-white head; aroma of pine resin, citrus, some grass, floral hops and some minimal sauerkraut; taste is dominated by bittersweet-ness - pine resin, citrus, significant maltyness...and intensive bitter aftertaste - my first Norwegian beer - and a masterpiece at the same time

Very well balanced double IPA! Hides alcohol well, quite easy to drink, still complex and really enjoyable.

Pours cloudy dark amber/golden with a nice looking white/beige head. Powerful hops aroma. Taste is a hop-bomb, a little bitter in the end. A magnificent beer, but then I’m a hop-fanatic, thanks a lot Jan Halvor Fjeld for making this beer with Nøgne Ø :)

Bottle @ Cardinal, Stavanger. Now this is what a double IPA should taste like. Pours golden amber with moderate head. Sweet yet hoppy - a symphony of flavors.

Drank shortly after the Ægir IPA which I loved, so this is slightly compared to that. In any case, it’s definitely double what the Ægir offered. More intense citrus on the nose, but leaning towards caramel malt, more alcohol in the mouth, not tons of carbonation, nice dry end although rather bitter, (not a bad thing). I loved it and it certainly would love a chance to drink more.

(bottle) A great and generous pick from Keg_Juggler. Wow, this is a treat! So smooth for a 100 IBU. Cloudy amber color with resiliant white head. Distinctive balance with hoppy flavor No trace of alcohol. The pinnacle of this style.
