500ml bottle @ Cardinal, Stavanger. Hazy deep orange color with a nice little head. Aromas of citrus and clean hops and some light fruits. Good dosage of bitterness to balance the heavy sweetness from the malts. Full body. A really great IPA.

A rather mild double IPA with a smooth and mildly bitter taste and a nice, bitter finish. It has a full body as the finnish stays long in your mouth. A really enjoyable beer for a night.

Batch: 1009, 0,5L bottle. Intense aroma of hops, pine, honey, citrus, mayb even some grass. Pours copper with hints of red. Nice big white head (with very light tan). Head stays for a long time. Lively carbonation. Taste is intense bitter with some honey sweetness thrown in. Very nice choice of hops used - feels old and fresh at the same time. There are also noticable floral and maybe some malt in the background. It really doesn’t feel like 8,5% abv, no noticable alcohol. Overall: there is so much more to say, but the bottom line is that this is just really great beer!

Lore (1335) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 6, 2013
hazy light orange colour, not too much off-white head; aroma of pine resin, citrus, some grass, floral hops and some minimal sauerkraut; taste is dominated by bittersweet-ness - pine resin, citrus, significant maltyness...and intensive bitter aftertaste - my first Norwegian beer - and a masterpiece at the same time

Very well balanced double IPA! Hides alcohol well, quite easy to drink, still complex and really enjoyable.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2015 50 cl. bottle at home bought at Oslo Airport Duty Free. Like with some people, an aggressive introduction sometimes turns into a great friendship! The hops aroma of this IIPA attacked me more than it pleased me, but actually having this brew in my mouth convinced me that it was just its way of asserting itself! Have drunk it over more than two hours and like many younger wines, it just gained with being exposed to air and room temperature. So, the veridict? A great IIPA! Can compete with the best. Well balanced, high alcohol content kept in check, and a wonderful palate of hops, bitternes and just plain pleasure to drink. Will I buy this rather expensive IIPA again? Yes, but I might just let it breathe for 10 minutes, so it can find its balance.
