The smell is malty, hops, one of the best smelling beers I have had. Beautiful honey blonde just like your favorite stripper. The taste is barley, hops, honey which surprises you. Great taste, the sweetness really evens out the bitterness. Great double IPA.

From tap at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Almost clear amber color with off white head. Hoppy piney, citrusy, caramel malty aroma. Sweet and bitter taste like the aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

40 cl på fad, 8,5 % ABV, nydt på TAP10 på Østerbrogade, 13. februar 2015. Kobber-/ravfarvet og ufiltreret Imperial IPA / dIPA med minimal offwhite skumtop. Rolig i glasset.

Orange color little foam. The smell is sweet and flowery hoppy. The taste is quite bitter, but you don’t recognize it through the strong sweet body. The taste is however relatively harsh. Quite awesome beer.

Hazy orange color with small white head. Aroma has a heavy hop kick, tangerines. Taste is also very hoppy, but also a nice (not immediate) sweetness, the bitterness in the finish is well-balanced. It lacks the last kick of body though. Anyway, delicious! Good mouthfeel and carbonation, foamy. It’s not an immediate wow-beer, but it really has something to it, is also easy to drink and very well-balanced. Great!

50cl bottle, brewed 26.02.14 batch 1135. Pours hazy orange with a thick uneven off white head that leaves some lacing. Some yeast on the bottom of the glass. Aroma is sweet malts, citrus, resin and some butterscotch as the beer warms up. Taste starts with a strong hops kick well backed by a good malty base. Some fruity sweetness, citrus peel, light butterscotch again. Very good dry bitter finish with resinous and vegetal notes. Long lasting bitter aftertaste. Full body, medium carbonation, very well hidden 8.5 ABV. Excellent.

50 cl. bottle at home bought at Oslo Airport Duty Free. Like with some people, an aggressive introduction sometimes turns into a great friendship! The hops aroma of this IIPA attacked me more than it pleased me, but actually having this brew in my mouth convinced me that it was just its way of asserting itself! Have drunk it over more than two hours and like many younger wines, it just gained with being exposed to air and room temperature. So, the veridict? A great IIPA! Can compete with the best. Well balanced, high alcohol content kept in check, and a wonderful palate of hops, bitternes and just plain pleasure to drink. Will I buy this rather expensive IIPA again? Yes, but I might just let it breathe for 10 minutes, so it can find its balance.
