COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle, pours burnt orange with an off white head that quickly falls off to a nice ring around the glass. Aroma is mild funk and brett and slight acidity as well. Flavor is tart berries/lingonberry, medium body and pleasantly tart. As it warms the funkiness come through a bit more. Nice beer although I’d say a bit high priced.

Old rating rerated 06.06.2014, 0,5l bottle @ home:
The bottle opened with a boom as usual, but this time it was actually not a gusher, first time ever. Nice slightly fizzy-creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish fruity, loads of mountain craneberries (actually more in the direction of regular craneberries), grass, berry skin, mild brett, bubblegum, sorrel, paint. Taste is slightly dry funky fruity, loads of mountain cranberries, sorrel, berry skin, mild brett, grass, bubblegum, minerals, hay. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. This one has just kept evolving all the way, and is now better than ever. Lovely stuff! Placing this beer in the "sour/wild" category however, does not justify this beer. Fruit beer would be a better choice...

nilsas (1180) - Bryne, NORWAY - MAY 15, 2014
Nydelig duft av tyttebær og andre bær. Dunkel rødbrun farge. Tynt dekkende skum, noe heng langs kant. Frisk smak av bær. Forfriskende lett drukket. Takk til Yngwie.

Nesten klar gyllen farve med lyst skum. Lukt av sytlig frukt. Smak av syrlig frukt og bær. Fruktig frisk og noe bitter ettersmak. Takk til Yngwie for denne.

hotstuff (4058) - Indiana, USA - APR 10, 2014
Rated on 4-28-2011. This bottled beer pours a large frothy, very, very fizzy off-white head that mostly diminishes, orange transparent body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma is malt, yeast, sweet, berries, fruity, and sour. The taste is sweet, tart, sour, brett, and berries. The mouthfeel is lively and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer is very sour tasting and a bit too sour for my liking.

Bottle (at least 2 years old): Pours a deep clean amber hue with some reddish highlights topped by a small fizzy head and minimal lace. The aroma has notes of cheesy and barnyard funk with some acidic fruit vapours along with pils and crystal malts. A touch cardboardy and a touch band-aid too. The taste is moderately soured but not enamel scraping with earthy and funky brettanomyces notes. Pitty and minerally notes as well. The mouth feel is lively but not a refreshing as I would like., even after aging it is a tad to alcoholic for the genre. Nice enough brew but nothing I would buy again at the price I paid for it.

Bottle shared by MatSciGuy. Pours a clear dark orange with white head. Some sour fruit on the nose, taste is similar. Not overpowering but a solid beer.
