Bottle - 500ml. Dark brown body with a fair beige foamy head. Nice malty/hoppy aroma with and interesting mix of spicy, citrusy, and cinnamon hints. Its well balanced taste carries brown sugar, vineous, and oaky notes. Ends with a robust, warming bittersweet finish. Good stuff.

This one I very deep dark amber in appearance with a lasting tan head. The aroma is a chocolate caramel with a little fruit cake. It’s taste is dark chocolate with some dates. It flows across the palate smooth with some carbonation. Overall yet again a other fine brew from Nøgne ø.

50cl bottle poured into a pint glass. Deep amber with ample tan head. Aroma is milk chocolate and coffee. Flavor is the same with a bittersweet finish. Thick palate with moderate to high carbonation. Nice.

Color caoba oscuro con reflejos rojizos. Espuma beige. Aromas a chocolate, café y especias. En boca encontramos esos mismos elementos con un final amargo achocolatado y equilibrado. Un buen trago!!!

coffee coloured head and coffee coloured beer. burnt aroma with something spicy like clove. very little flavour, some coffee, chocolate. very thin body and medium carbonation. disappointing and lacking flavour.draft @ la tape / notes from backlog

Bottle. Black with a medium head that took some time to dissipate. Flavour was a cross between chocolate and coffee with a hint of bitterness.An excellent beer that was so easy to drink.

Aroma of coffee and licorice. Taste of coffee, chocolate, caramel and licorice in a nice balance. Good beer but in a blindtest I think I would have guessed it was a stout.

Dette blir mer en generell rating.2011 årgangen var fantastisk.nsmakte som en god porter, toppet i de fleste aviser. Rund og fin. 2012 ble det inn med røykmalt, den falt ikke i smak for egen del, 2013 back to basic?

Bottle from Stirchley Wines; dark brown pour with tan head, fruit and malt aroma, malt taste with a hint of spice and smokiness, heavy body a sort of impy stout mouthfeel complex and very good.

Not much aroma. Black/very Dark color with brown foam. Pretty sour taste. Long aftertaste.
