COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Belgian Ale is what you could call a wit with an attitude. We are generous with all our ingredients - including both orange peel and coriander. This does not stop this ale from being a good companion with seafood dishes.

Recommended serving temperature 8°C/45°F.

11P 20 IBU 4,5% ABV.

Blonde and completely clear, plenty of carbonation, strong orange and limonene on the nose. A hint of TCP perhaps. Plenty of citrus character (not unpleasantly so), some corriander and that pervasive phenolic character perhaps from the yeast. Pretty light in body, I can imagine it would go well with food but on its own perhaps a little too citrussy.

500 ml bottle. #690. Finland.
Hazy pale yellow colour with small to average size creamy head. Yeast, wheat, caramel sweetness and coriander in aroma. Flavour is yeasty, wheat, mild bitterness and coriander. Smooth and rich for a 4.5%. Yeasty Witbier.

2011-12-03. Hazy dark yellow body with a nice white head and lace. 3+ Good amount of orange and spice, coriander? 7+ Flavour is similar, zippy wheat and coriander spice up front, sweet orange peel in the finish lingers pleasantly. 7+ Smooth average plus bodied palate. 3+ Pretty solid wit. Tap at Blue Monk, Buffalo

Draught @ Bishop Arms: Örebro on November 26. Pours slightly hazy yellowish with a small white head. Smell is very subtle with some banana bread and cilantro. Taste is refreshing, slightly watery and spicy with allspice, cilantro and banana. Drinkable but nothing fancy.

Tick and rich aroma packed with wheat, bananas and spices. Soft on the nose! Smooth body with wheat flavours, bananas and cream. I miss the fruity notes...

Thanks to GT for sharing and travlr for bringing this back from the other side of the pond. Cloudy, straw golden with a small steady white head. Nose is grainy, some lemon, citrus. Flavor is slightly spicey, more grains.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Wit used to be my favourite beer style from around 1999-2002; this is reminiscent of how I recall those days of Hoegaarden, Brugs Wit etc. Nice lemon, chalkiness and fizz which provides dry freshness. Some pleasant sweet spice too. Great balance and refreshment.
