COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Belgian Ale is what you could call a wit with an attitude. We are generous with all our ingredients - including both orange peel and coriander. This does not stop this ale from being a good companion with seafood dishes.

Recommended serving temperature 8°C/45°F.

11P 20 IBU 4,5% ABV.

500ml bottle Batch 395 Brewed 19.11.08 BB 19.11.10 Pours a pale yellow-gold body with slight hazy. Atop sits a decent sized, persistant cap of bubbly foam. Nice aroma, plenty of citrus peel and coriander, as to be expected, but seems to go that little bit further with some dried apricot, wheat cereal, pepper and hay. Medium weight, reasonably high but soft carbonation, dry texture with a good balance of acidty. Coriander spice is upfront, a few underlying hints of clove and pepper in the works, cereal malts join in, not particularly sweet but somehow sustaining. Orange and grapefruit citrus towards the finish, hints of apricot and unripe stonefruits linger on a dry, slighty tart finish. Very well made and enjoyable Witbier. Highly drinkable with enough flavour to entice.

Bottle@Home. Strong coriander aroma with a hint of banana. Cloudy, yellow colour, white head, good lace. Light sweet, bitter, loads of coriander, lemon peels, hint of grapefruit. Medium body, harsh bitter finish. Flavourful and certainly different.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2009 Bottle 50 CL. Apperance; Yellow, cloudy with a fast dissapearing white head. Flavor; Yeast and wheat, sweet. Flavor; Sweet fruits and malt with a light bitter ending. Tested 27.03.2009, best before date: 12.03.2007 Bought this at Ølutsalget Tromsdalen where they told me that they store the Nøgne Ø beers for a few years after the best before date is over, so the aroma gets better. So I emailed Nøgne Ø to get that confirmed, and they said that their beers last longer than the best before dates. Best b: 20.03.2007, tested 13.03.2009,

Cloudy, dark yelow, massive head that dissipates to about 1cm. Some lacing. Aroma is loads of yeast, spices, some sweet malts. Much the same in the flavour, but the hops come out more. The carbonation is farily sharp, could have been smoother. Quite dry. Enjoyable and drinkable.

Bottle 500ml. Cloudy dark yellow, weisbierlike colour. Head disappears fast. Fresh aroma, citrus, wheat. Flavour is dry, bitter, more citrus and some spices in it. Yeast makes aftertaste a bit unpleasant.

Offered by the owner of Bar & Cigar, in October ´07
Brewed on 15.07.2003, therefore rather old

Cloudy light amber color; huge head. Very nice aroma, perfumy, malty, Belgian, showing some age. Medium mouthfeel, sweetish, a bit malty and spicy too, lightly fruity, worn out by the yeast, so that it becomes thinner at the end. The final is light and dry, with a very light touch of vegetables. Incredibly it still has a fresh, dynamic drinkability. Interesting experience.

Cloudy, light yellow, medium white head. Yeasts, spicies, lemon and some coriander are found from the refreshing aroma. Lemon, corinader seeds, spicy, even peppery flavour. Very smooth to drink that gives nice balance in to bittery flavour. Aggressively spiced witbier with lot of flavour and nice balance.
