Pours cloudy yellow colour with average white head. Spiced on the nose, and hints of fresh raw meat. Yeah, that’s right. Light sweetness, light to medium bitter, refreshing and thin. Medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation, and a medium dry and light bitter after taste. Especially good with the redfish (havuer) that I had with it.

Batch #577 Brygget 120111 - Pours clear with light yellow color and a small smooth head. Aroma has hints of spices, grass and coriander. Taste is quite light with notes of spices, wheat and earthy yeastness. Finishes with a bit more body, but still surprisingly light and easy to drink. A bit unbalanced.

Bottled. Hazy yellow beer, foamimg white head. Wheaty, fresh aroma with loads of coriander, sweetish orange peel, slightly soapy. Light, fresh flavor of bready wheat malts. Spicy finish, slightly peppery. Light bitterness. Some yeasty sourness. Mellow aftertaste mixes wheat and spices enjoyably. Light to medium body, refreshing carbonation. Nice summer beer.

Sample from 50 cl bottle at Kaisla, Helsinki. Poured cloudy pale yellow in colour with whitish head. Strong spices in aroma. Flavour similar filled with some citrus notes also. Quite refreshing.

Fruchtig weicher Hefeantrunk, in dem Kräuternoten einen großen Anteil haben. Im Mittelteil sieht es kaum anders aus, auch hier wirken starke Kräuternoten, die sich zudem mit trockenen Bananenote vereinen.Das Bier wird dann deutlich milder, die Kräuternoten schwinden, die Hefigkeit wird fast wässrig. Im Abgang dann unerwartet hellmalzig und süßlich, leider auch sehr trocken. 12/12/11/9/10/11

hazy, pale,. white foam, frothy. hop and yeast. easy aroma. drinkable. medium bitterness. average carbonation, light-medium body, bitter but short finish. Overall a very good beer, maybe the best of Nøgne Ø’s 4,5% store range?

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2011 looks very nice. the liquid is hazy and the colour changes from sparkly yellow to orange brown. pours a thin silky creamy head. the aroma is full of herbs and fruit. the taste is surprisingly sour, works very well with the herb side of the aromas, while keeping the fruit present. there is a fruity bitter side to the taste that adds good character. a very dry mouthfeel with a medium body and full woody texture. carbonation is spot on.
