This Belgian Ale is what you could call a wit with an attitude. We are generous with all our ingredients - including both orange peel and coriander. This does not stop this ale from being a good companion with seafood dishes.

Recommended serving temperature 8°C/45°F.

Uklar gyllen med et hvit skum, skummet holdt bra og hang fint i glassveggen. Aroma av malt, krydder, sitrus og gjær. Smaken følger aroma, fin tørsteslukker, litt tynn munnfølelse og liten ettersmak.

Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok on the tap takeover/meet the brewer evening. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin whispy white head. The aroma is yeast, light citrus. The flavour is big yeast, mineral light aspirin, with a neutral earthy palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from the Meny, Norway. Pale yellow color (like limonade) with medium white head. Nice aroma of wheat, oranges and coriander. A beer with taste of wheat, orange, coriander and yeast. You can buy it in normal stores, so the alcohol content is not high, and is clouded by the other tastes. I have tasted better Wit biers, but all in all it’s quite nice.

Taster on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Yellow color, made hazy by lots of fine particles suspended in the body. Thin ring of white head. Decent ropes of lace. Big citrusy, lightly spicy flavor on this. Lemon peel, big zest, and spice. Light body. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. Moderate spicy taste, zesty, light sweet. Solid, assertive witbier.

On tap at Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri, Oslo. A cloudy straw colour with a medium head. Aroma of wheat and citrus. Flavour is more of the same - wheat and lime with some coriander in the finish. Medium carbonation. Doesn’t compare favourably with the Belgian Wits; can’t explain why, it just doesn’t quite hit the mark...
