COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
7th Street Wheat” started out as our Summer seasonal, but cue to its popularity has made its own place in our year round ales. Named in honor of the 7th Street wharf across the street from the brewery, this filtered wheat ale is light-bodied American style with pounds of fresh lemon-basil added after fermentation. The light citrus taste with a hint of spicy herb on the back goes well with almost any seafood dish, and from what we hear, is a favorite at bars as a stand alone refreshing beer.

Pours a cloudy pale gold, white head. Aroma of citrus, wheat malt, and refrigerated flowers. Flavors of wheat malt, citrus, basil, herbs, with a lemon zest...leading to a hops finish.

Aroma is citrus, wheat/spices and a hint of funk. The flavor is nutty wheat, citrus and a mildly spicy/sour finish.

Doughy, wit aroma - wheat, yeast, light spice, basil isn’t ham-handed. Nice, colorful can. Misty, white-gold brew, lacy white head. Biscuity, slightly sweet, lightly spiced, coriander notes. Body is a bit limp. Undercarbonated. Not too bad, interesting, tasty. Summer fare. ABC Liquors, Bull Run.

12 oz. can bb 09/29/2016. Pours a hazy topaz with a film of bubbles. Nose is basil, toast and a touch of honey. Tastes the same, with the basil not as powerful as in the aroma and a bit more of the citrus aspect showing. Light-plus body with medium carbonation and an easy drinking balance.

Hazy yellow, big white head. Smells, as one might expect, like lemon and basil. Taste pretty much follows suit. I added a basil leaf, which made it more basil-y.

Pours a slightly hazy bright yellow golden color with white fizzy head. Just like the name says, there is lemon and basil on the nose, a little other citrus as well; follows on to the palate. Light bodied. Finishes with lemon zest flavors.

PorterPounder (7335) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 8, 2016
Tallahassee, Fl - Beer Stop - 12 oz can. Lazy, light-copper pour with an initial bubbly off-white head that fades quickly Aroma has some brief lemon accents, a touch of hard candy sweetness. Dull flavor, light coriander and bubble presence, hint of lemon citrus, do not puck up the advertised basil, odd spicy notes in the finish but not basil-like, Slight metallic twang to the mouthfeel.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong wheat and lemon zest. Thin mouth, wheat, lemon, light finish, crushable, good.

Decent wheat that’s highly drinkable. Pale golden pour w/ a thin white head & a good ring of lacing. The aroma has a hint of lemon in it but isn’t very strong. The taste is clean, crisp, & carries just enough citrusy flavor to make it worthwhile. Not bad!
