On tap at local bar. Brew was a bit more tart than I would like. Also was kind of hazy, which I found odd for a blond ale. Hop presence was minimal and maltiness was more a sweet mellow taste, nothing interesting. A good session brew, but I think it has some minor flavor flaws.

Aroma is pale malts and slightly perfumed/dank hops. The flavor is fruit, hops malts and a bitter finish.

Looks, smells, and tastes exactly as you would expect a blonde ale to. Thoroughly average beer, but works pretty well while walking around New Orleans on a 95 degree day.

Pours a light orange gold. Has a sweet citrus, fruit, and wheat aroma. Taste is a nice balance of citrus, wheat, grains, yeast and light spices. A balanced aftertaste.

Pale gold. Simple malt aroma with some light fruit and a bit of higher alcohols. Some slight sweetness. Entirely forgettable.

On tap at D.B.A. Brew was a bit more tart than I would like. Also was kind of hazy, which I found odd for a blond ale. Hop presence was minimal and maltiness was more a sweet mellow taste, nothing interesting. Patty liked it more than me.

Hazy golden colour with a dense head. Aroma is mildly malty. Taste is a bit sweet with a mixture of honey and malts.

Markey’s, New Orleans tap: Pours light golden with white head. Aroma is pale malts, a hint of hops, some dough. Taste is much as would be expected. It was really mild, but had a nice and creamy texture to it that contributed to easy drinking. Not bad.

Draft on tap at the brewery (New Orleans, LA). Pours a nice hazy dulled golden grainy hue. A gentle touch of glow but a bit flabby in color. Frothy creamy offwhite head atop stays as a decent layer, ok lacing overall. Aromas are a bit grainy and earthy, subtle bread dough, straw and kiss of citrusy orange. A bit of floral, bread yeast and gentle sweetness. Faint coriander. Initial is similar, lighter end of the fold in body with cleaner malt bill. Safe bready malts, a bit of cereal grain and dry gentle yeastiness into the back meet some gentle hop character, faint waft of orange and subtle kiss of coriander peeks in at times unannounced. Cleaner, refreshing, was an easy one to find at the bars around town. Solid enough lighter offering from the local brewer.

Draft at the source as Bird Flippin Blonde, hopefully it’s the same beer. Hazy golden yellow color, fluffy white head. Earthy aroma. Taste is earthy straw.

Can via trade. Somewhat murky golden pour with a white head. Kind of bland grain, lively carbonation, maybe a touch metallic.
