Pours a darker brown than is usual for a brown ale. No head in spite of beig poured from a tap. Light, roasted, smoky notes in the aroma. Pretty crisp texture. Scorched flavor. Zinc notes. Not good.

Can via trade. Deep amber/brown pour with a frothy head. I’m getting curry and nut on the nose. Pretty thin palate - watery. Meh.

Can @ America Strikes Back, Ulfborg. Pours clear darkish copper brown, with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with notes of hops and yeast. Sourish flavour, with notes of citrus and malt, and irregular hoppy touches. Sourish aftertaste. Not very impressive.

On tap at Avenue Pub post-Mardi Gras. Pours thin muddy brown. Light roasted malts, caramel heavy. Surprisingly thin, wet body. A bit tame, but all the parts are there.

Very dark in the glass with a beige head. The beer starts malty dry with a nice refreshing sour note. The mainpart is malty-dry and slightly sourish. In the aftertaste the beer is nicely dry, nearly no sweetness with hints of roasted malt. Thereby refreshing sourish nice.
A very interesting ale! Nice and highly drinkable. --> 12/12/12/12
