COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is the culmination of over 30 years of brewing by our Brewmaster, Peter ‘Hopzilla’ Caddoo. Created at our Tchoupitoulas Street brewery, our India Pale Ale was hand crafted with six malts and six hops. This big, beautiful beer is dry hopped with Amarillo and Simcoe hops to accentuate aromas of citrus and pine. Grab a Hopitoulas and taste the passion and dedication that has gone into this brew.

draft. amber caramel, clear, small head. sticky pine sap / resin-heavy nose with requisite pineapple fruit and lemon citrus hops. medium-full body, syrupy and a bit goppy, and just a tad too flabby and chewy as well. strong bitterness but medium-low acid, that’s a problem. caramel-heavy orange-oil floor wax hop finish.

Draft. Amber and hazy. Earthy, slightly caramelly nose. Earthy hops, moderate bitterness and good balance. Was a go-to beer for me on my visit to NOLA.

Draft. Nola. Copper amber brew. Delicate lace. Spicy hop aroma. Peach and nectarine undertone harmonious accents. Light to medium body and easy to drink. Nice chicory bitter finish from the toasty malts. Certain citrus. Nice hoppy number and easily one of the top local beers!

Growler thanks to Mora2000. Pours with a hazed orange hued body and a thick, bone hued white head that lasts. Some small particles floating around. Aromas of citrus, pine, light tropical fruit, a hint of alcohol and a clean, bready 2 row. A bit of tangerine. Flavors are citrusy, tangerine, pomelo. A bit husky/nutty on the grain side of things. Some grassy hop presence. Medium carbonation, dry and a bit thin.

Solid IPA for a local brewery. Taste is very good, but I would prefer more hop variety. Tastes like a lot of pale ales but with more alcohol presence. Maybe some more interesting malt character would put it over the top. I enjoy this beer frequently.

Murky brownish amber with off-white head. Nose of malt turning fruits, and caramel. Good body/carbonation. Sweet, but not terribly so. Mandarin orange, grapefruit, malt, caramel. Cloying, one-note IPA. Tastes more boozey than it is. Mediocre.

Draft. Decent hop profile but nowhere near a hop juggernaut as the name might suggest.
