3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance: very clear rich gold color, has a moderately thick and dense off white head
Aroma: grain, some fruit, faint
Taste: bitterness, grass, pine, can get the malt flavor if you concentrate
Palate: moderate c02, leaves a pretty strong bitter aftertaste
Overall: this is a good ipa, could use a bit more of the hop flavors besides just the bitterness

16oz can. Rating #75. Clear copper pour with a sticky dirty white head. Light tropical aroma with a bit of toast. Above average bitterness, pine and a little more toast, long lingering bitter aftertaste, not bad. (2738)

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A full lightly tanned head. Nice piney and fruity aroma. It has a lively palate, and a great taste. I love Amarillo and Simcoe hops, and Hopitoulas delivers.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Poured gold with a nice pillow of white head. Big sweet and floral aroma. Taste is the same without being overly sweet. There’s a nice grass/tropical fruit balance. No overpowering bitterness. Real quaffable and dangerously drinkable. no hint of an elevated ABV.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had this from a tall boy at Portobello's Grill in Baton Rouge.
Appearance: Pours with a huge white creamy to rocky head, with good retention and fair lacing. The body is amber to orange and very clear.
Aroma: There's pine and citrus on the nose from the hops, a bit of straw from the malt, and some slight bandage.
Palate: Hopitoulas has a medium, oily body that coats the mouth, with an average amount of carbonation.
Taste: The taste lingers for an average amount of time, finishing slightly bitter, which is to be expected from an IPA. This IPA is moderate to heavy on its sweetness, which acts to balance the beer, leaving it moderately bitter and lightly acidic.
This is a solid beer by one of my local favorites

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can at Sander’s place, NYC. Not crazy about this beer. Pours clear copper with a moderate, creamy-foamy head. Nose holds some dry caramel, earth pine and herbal hops. Light to medium sweet flavor, more dry, toasty caramel, herbal and lightly astringent bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Some toasty malts to finish, bit of dried caramel, elderly pine and herbs. So so. Might be a little old.
