This beer is the culmination of over 30 years of brewing by our Brewmaster, Peter ‘Hopzilla’ Caddoo. Created at our Tchoupitoulas Street brewery, our India Pale Ale was hand crafted with six malts and six hops. This big, beautiful beer is dry hopped with Amarillo and Simcoe hops to accentuate aromas of citrus and pine. Grab a Hopitoulas and taste the passion and dedication that has gone into this brew.

Murky brownish amber with off-white head. Nose of malt turning fruits, and caramel. Good body/carbonation. Sweet, but not terribly so. Mandarin orange, grapefruit, malt, caramel. Cloying, one-note IPA. Tastes more boozey than it is. Mediocre.

Draft. Decent hop profile but nowhere near a hop juggernaut as the name might suggest.

On draft at Avenue Pub. Pale amber in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are of oranges, sweet grapefruit, and grass. There is a bit of pale malt character in the mouth, but the citrusy American hops dominate here as well. Medium bodied. A bit SNPA-like. Nothing unexpected overall, but well executed.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 9 Aug 2011) Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of orange, apricots, caramel and citrussy hops. Fruity, malty taste with dried apricots, orange peel, grapefruit and a generous citrussy bitterness in the finish. Slightly more than medium body, with balanced sweetness. Really nice and tasty.

On tap at Akkurat, August 2011. My first beer from Nola. Slightly hazy golden with a fluffy white head. Hoppy and a rather sweet aroma. The taste was fruity and quite balanced. A good beer.

Tap @ Akkurat. Hazy golden orangey amber with a beautiful super thick creamy head. bartender craftmanship. nice lacings. Aroma is sweaty fruity with resinous hops. mango, passionfruit, but also fart and old underwear with rubber. Taste is fruity and bitter hoppy with mango, grapefruit peel, slight caramel in the background (comes more towards the end), resin and pine bitterness. florar candy hops.  Body is medium to bigger with soft carbonation. Best so far.
