3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap @ Avenue Pub: Pours a nice orange color with a big white head. The nose is dominant with a nice fresh orange and pine hoppy note and a light pale malt mouthfeel in the background. The hops are clean and balanced, but lower than I’d like to see in a new IPA. Clean finish. Good.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bronze-amber, fluffy, airy head. From the start, the IBU overload is evident with the first whiffs of the sharply bitter, leafy, hoppy nose. The flavor is wet hoppiness, one note monotone bitter, leafy hoppiness from a long boil time. Ok, but suffers from lack of hop complexity.

Tap @ multiple places. Copper, white head. Nose is big pine & grapefruit, some melon with a little mint & caramel. Flavor is caramel, pine dank. Probably the best beer I had in New Orleans

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft sample at the brewery and in a pint at Avenue Pub. Super smooth, super hoppy but somehow without being bitter. Fruity all the way. Delicious and exceptionally drinkable. (#4028, 12/??/2010)

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ Turtle Bay in New Orleans. Pours a slightly cloudy orange with a medium head. Aromas of citrus, pine, and some caramel. Nice citrus hop flavor that is strong, but not overpowering; excellent ballance. I was really suprised by this one.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Serving Type was a growler purchased by my wife in New Orleans at Avenue Pub and brought to me here in Florida.
Appearance- The beer pours an amber gold color with a nice head which disapates quickly. A sticky, spider web like lacing was present.
Smell- The aroma was a bit lacking. Nice subtle hints of piney hops. Could have been because it was poured from a growler.
Taste- HUGE hops flavors. The bitterness attacks my tongue and doesn’t let go. I get a nice slight hint of citrus in the front that lets go into HOPS!
Mouthfeel- Medium body with nice carbonation(even after being in a growler).
Drinkability- Fantastic and very drinkable IPA. This one is on the upper end of IPAs in terms of its hoppiness. Too bad it won’t be year round.
