Irish Channel Stout is our newest seasonal ale. Released in November, this is an American style stout that has sweet malt flavors of caramel and chocolate, complimented by a crisp bitterness produced by roasted barley and American Hops. The complex malt bill of pale and roasted malts result in this well balanced stout that is smooth, rich, dark and delicious! And watch out – ABV 6.8%! This seasonal will be available on draft through March.

Immediate tastes of espresso on the tongue followed by caramel, malts, and subtle bitter chocolate on the finish. I didn't get much from nosing this beer, which gave my tastebuds quite a surprise when I took my first flavor filled sip. This is really a nice stout to sit and savor. The flavors really begin to open up as the beer warms a little in the glass. Even poured from a can, this stout held a nice dark foamy head for quite some time. Definitely a beer that I will come back to again. NOLA has yet to disappoint me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours like motor oil. Nice thick caramel head that stays. Aroma is of coffee, espresso, smoke, chocolate, pine, caramel, honey, and sweet chocolate. Tastes of milk chocolate, espresso, pine trees, coffee, caramel, roasted malt. Mouth feel on this is very good. It is silky smooth and the way the flavor comes across the tongue is amazing. Highly recommend this beer.

(draft @ Avenue Pub - New Orleans, LA) Dark black pour with a creamy tan head. Roasted malt and burnt coffee aroma. Bitter coffee and malts at the start with a dark chocolate and bitter hop undertone. Bitter finish and really smooth.

16oz can poured to pint glass. Rich black opaque color with one finger thick tan head that dissipates quickly, nice moderate lacing. Earthy dark chocolate aroma. Mocha and dark chocolate flavors throughout with very little bittering from hops or black patent malt. Cheers!

Great beer. Surprising grape flavor but it's not strong. Better slightly smokey flavors. "Strong espresso front end, finished with a touch if bakers chocolate" roasted barley

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 16 oz can. Pours a deep dark inky black with a quickly fading thin khaki colored head. Persistent aroma with some heavy chocolate and espresso, hints of creosote. Solid stout flavor with dark bittersweet chocolate, some espresso, a touch of topsoil. Nice chalky mouthfeel, Pleasantly surprised.

Good can, suitable for warding off vampires when you’re passed out in a back alley in NOLA. Or taking with you to Father Patrick’s confessional. Huge, multi-toned tan head on a molasses-colored brew. Slightly smokey, chickory/coffee/parched soy nut aroma. Earthy, a little black olive, starchy, lightly sweet. Underbittered. Roast and soil aftertaste, body is a little on the light side. I was a tad disappointed. ABC, Betton.
