COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Irish Channel Stout is our newest seasonal ale. Released in November, this is an American style stout that has sweet malt flavors of caramel and chocolate, complimented by a crisp bitterness produced by roasted barley and American Hops. The complex malt bill of pale and roasted malts result in this well balanced stout that is smooth, rich, dark and delicious! And watch out – ABV 6.8%! This seasonal will be available on draft through March.

500ml can. Looks dark. Aroma of chocolate and caramel and light roast, some dough, and hints of bitterness. Flavor the same. Average texture. Nothing really stands out with this beer, but it’s a little too sweet for my liking.

Pours a very dark brown with a mochacino colored head. Fresh ground and fresh brewed coffee bouquet. A lightly creamy texture occurs first, but yields to a thinner, wet mouthfeel. Some lactose flavor overarches the strong presence of coffee. Coffee acidity bitterness at the finish. A lot like drinking cold, black coffee.

On tap - served in a frosty mug because the restaurant employee didnt know any better. Has a nice chocolate aroma. Nice malty mocha taste. A little burnt taste but not bad.

Pretty dry stout, but great loads of chocolate with some other malty notes such as caramel, there was some bitterness in the back from coffee flavors. Pretty good beer a bit roasty as well as some hops

Appearance: completely opaque black color, pours with a medium tan head Aroma: chocolate, coffee, dark roasted grain Taste: sweet chocolate, milk, some alcohol and bitterness on the finish Palate: very creamy mouthfeel, heavy, soft carbonation, bitter chocolate aftertaste Overall: the creamy mouthfeel of this beer is awesome, its pretty sweet with chocolate being the dominant part of the experience, it does have a bitterness to it too
