dark gold syrupy mess, nose is enough to let you know that if you are looking for either an East Coast or West Coast Specimen, this Gulf Coast attempt at a DIPA was not going to be a success. Hard to finish especially with so many great options on tap at Avenue Pub on Charles St.

Cans and tap. Clear amber color with ivory head. Pine, dank, floral hop aromas. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Floral, spicy bitter hop flavors with a crystal malt base brew___nicely drying bitter finish---good

Apricot and cloudy with a thin head. Very hoppy nose. Easy entry with a lightly-carbonated mouthfeel followed by a significantly hoppy finish.

This beer is dead... Nothing lively in this beer...maybe it's old but more than likely its just bad...no positive aroma just stale malts no hops...taste follows... Stale ... Pass on it... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap post-Mardi Gras in New Orleans. I can’t remember the name of the place, but they had a kickass Happy Hour deal of $3 for a dozen raw oysters! They were the real deal too. Anyway, cloudy copper pour with minimal white head. Resinous aroma with notes of cut grass, orange peel, and caramel. Pine punch in the flavor with enough malt backbone to make it work. Solid overall.

Good IPA. Very well balanced. Not a hop bomb but not wimpy. Very well balance. I’ve had their Hopitulas IPA and this is an amped up version. I really can’t get over the balance here. The hops and malt work well together. A lot of double IPA’s fall into the trap of not having a good balance and end up being weird sweet messes. This one avoided that. I am pleasantly surprised. And the 8.8% is giving me a hell of a buzz. Delicious beer, nice work!

1 pint can. The beer is very floral in the nose. Intense hoppy in the beginning with a quite sweet body. The mainpart is smooth, nicely floral hopped which fits great to the malty sweetness of the beer. The aftertaste is smooth, malty, very floral and nicely bittered.
A nice hoppy IPA, but I think the sweet body takes lot of the hoppiness of this beer away… --> 12/12/11/11

Can. Deep copper with voluminous off white head. Aroma of citrus and resinous hops with some caramel. Medium/heavy body with a medium citrus hop bitterness upfront that is nicely balanced with a strong malt body.
