dark gold syrupy mess, nose is enough to let you know that if you are looking for either an East Coast or West Coast Specimen, this Gulf Coast attempt at a DIPA was not going to be a success. Hard to finish especially with so many great options on tap at Avenue Pub on Charles St.

16 oz can in French Quarter. Middle of the road DIPA. Nothing to set apart, but better than 96% of the beer you can find in New Orleans. Will buy again when down there again, but this wouldn’t survive in a market where good beer is available.

On tap @ NOLA. Pour is translucent copper with a small white head. Notes of slight metal, pine needles, grapefruit, wheat grass, and caramel. Finish is bitter with some slight sweetness.

16oz can from ABC. Pours a murky golden orange with virtually no head and very little lacing. Hoppy aromas - pine, grass, light cirtrus; some vague malt as well, perhaps a light bread. Taste is bitter with a creamy, full texture. A pretty short, almost flat finish. A decent IIPA overall, but nothing to set it apart other than the hilariously bad can art. Acquire.

Can courtesy of jcartamdg. Cheers, Jason! Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Nose is white grapefruit, citrus zest, and hints of caramel. Flavor starts off with caramel, almost biscuity, then quickly moves to pine and floral hops finishing with with a dry bitterness. Light in body for a DIPA and finishing dry and bitter.

Pours a hazy gold with a thick white head. Aroma big on malt, with hop bitterness to back it up. Taste is sweet and malty yet bitter and citrusy. Slightly syrupy.

It's great running into a nice, hoppy beer after dealing with sugary bullshit on Bourbon St. But... I'm on Bourbon St. after a couple drinks. So good times no matter what. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy amber colored pour with some chunks of something floating around. Small creamy off white head. Lot of lacing. Nice danky citrus hope nose. Earth and orange taste. Nice citrusy finish that is slightly malty.

Hoppy - piney, earthy, light citrus, some pale malt character follows. Slightly hazy dull orange color, persistent white head. Citrusy hop flavor mixed with some danky earthy notes. High bitterness, hop astringency.
