dark gold syrupy mess, nose is enough to let you know that if you are looking for either an East Coast or West Coast Specimen, this Gulf Coast attempt at a DIPA was not going to be a success. Hard to finish especially with so many great options on tap at Avenue Pub on Charles St.

This hop-monster is an American Imperial IPA posting bravo, Columbus, centennial, and Citra hops. Beware of Mecha's powerful flavor and its attack of half pound per barrel dry hop aroma. Not for the faint of heart or palette. Hop heads, this one's for you!. With love, brewed in New Orleans. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pale amber pour. The aroma is quite pony. Lots of sweet malt as well along with a touch of sweet fruit. Malt bit too sweet for my tastes. There’s a little bit of grassiness in here as well. Decent but I like a much dryer beer.

Pours a dark orange. Has a sweet grapefruit, hop, and caramel. Has a sweet fruit malt, citrus hop and caramel taste. A malty aftertaste with some light bitter citrus hops.

Real good, strong hops, not for lite ipa drinkers. Now called "Mecha" only reportedly due to a Godzilla lawsuit.

Casting central AIPA aroma. Cool can, different from that pictured here. Maplewood colored brew with a fluffy ivory head. Big citrus tones up front, sour grapefruit notes, residual sweetness. That’s about it. Medium-heavy body. Grapefruit pith finish. Not bad, but it’s a one-trick pony. Tallboy, Beer Stop, Tallahassee.

Tallahassee, Fl - Beer Stop - 16 oz can. Slightly murky dark gold pour, frothy snow white head with a sticky white head. Aroma has a slight perfumey bent to it, a nice dollop of hoppy spruce notes. Solid IPA flavor with some juicy fruit gum notes, some solid citrus bitter notes, some pepper-like vegetable notes, just a hint of mint. Nice thick mouthfeel. Surprisingly, pretty decent.
