Pours black with minimal beige head. Nose is salty licorice, sweet, a bit of soy sauce (kikkoman!) and a bit of coffee. Mouth is coffee, licorice, sweet and a tad bitter. Wonderful label. Purr...

Kullsort. Høyt luftig lysebrunt skum som varer. Prikklacing. God aroma av kaffe & lakris. Oljeaktig munnfølelse. Smaken er lakris & sjokolade. Forbausende lettdrikkelig. Hvor ble det av alkoholen? Kledelig tørr avslutning.

330 ml bottle. Pours a black colour with a thin, brown head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate and whiskey. Sweet flavour with dark chocolate leading to a roasted malt and warming alcohol finish. Full body with a creamy, oily texture and soft carbonation. Pleasantly surprised.

shared @ DE-CH-F-TriStateTasting, with special thanks to Embrouille! Aroma of dried fruits, raisins, figs, then vanilla, also dark cake, all of this keeping its promise when tasted: more dark cake, chocolate, dried plums - and then a peaty, smokey finish, faint memories of Lagavulin finally coming up. And after all that some notes of coffee, creamy, milky, malty coffee lingering on. A wonderful beer!

33cl bottle (US import label) courtesy of embrouille@1st Freiburger Tri-State Tasting, danke! Dark chocolate and fumes, wood and slight nail polish in the nose. Islay barrel disappears behind a tarred wall of leather and chestnut, cigarillo, massive dark chocolate and liquorice. Astringency of all these elements makes for inspired sipping. Pretty tasty Spanish motor oil.
