3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at the Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a broken bubbly white head. The aroma is rich, malty and a little papaya. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with lots of liqourice, fruit, malt and heart warming alcohol on the super smooth palate. One of the best DIPA’s I’ve ever had.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml bottle, enjoyed at Barcelona.
Pours a dark amber colour with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet caramel, papaya, plums and some caramel. Sweet flavour is very intense with floral hops, caramel, sweet papaya, pine needles, grainy malts and resin. Medium bodied, heavy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Finishes sweet, warming and lingering bitter with lovely papaya notes. A rather heavy, maybe even a bit too malt-driven DIPA, but the bitterness is very pleasant here.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: OCT 8, 2013 Bottle. Beautiful bronze color. Very powerful beer. Sweet and bitter at the same time, fruity and hoppy as could be expected of a imperial pale ale with papaya. Too rough for my taste but as I prefer Belgium ales it might just be me. --- probably rated somewhere in Scandinavia.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Clear copper color. Aroma: Nicely hopped! Peach, melon, grapefruit, caramel, pine and grass. Taste: Peach, citrus, grapefruit, bubblegum, caramel and pineapple. Smooth mouthfeel, dry hoppy finish. Bitter beer, but it maintains a weird balance for being a double IPA, maybe it’s the papaya. Interesting caramel notes that you wouldn’t expect. Una cerveza buena de España!

Taste is near heavy sweet and bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is moderate. Finishes sweet and with a distinct bitter hop-bite. Somewhat rough and very very sweet.

Doftar sedvanlig US-ipa och smakar även så. Pallar inte nyansera mer. Känner inget av papayan direkt med lite fruktiga drag finns där. Johans fynd från ölbutiken
