3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy opaque orange with an off-white head - very lively carbonation, would’ve gushed if I hadn’t opened it veeeery slowly. Heavy, heavy Brett aroma - intentional or not I quite like it! Thick, sweet, fruity and sugary nose - I believe I can actually pick up some papaya. Very bitter and boozy finish. Rough and unconventional but quite enjoyable even if I would’ve loved some more fresh aroma hop character. 140113

Bottle from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen, bb 24/04/2014
Cloudy amber color with creamy head. The aroma is nice, hoppy, fruity, fresh, with a light peppery note. Full bodied; the mouthfeel is lean and the sweetness very moderate; quite good flavor of caramel and toffee, with strong bitterness, a good share of hop resins and a bitter orange character; lightly dusty in the final; the spicy/peppery note in the end is intriguing.

Craft Clerkenwell. Tuesday Horal Chugging Tasting! Thanks to Tom the Cad for this rare beast. Lightly hazy gold beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and airy and slightly crisp. Soft creamy malt supports nice piney - floral hops. Slight hop sting and tropical fruits. Nice light finish. Not picking up papaya in particular but it hardly matters as it just a nice DIPA.
