Svart med høyt skum. Aroma av mørk malt, sjokolade og antydninger til kaffe. Nydelig. I smaken er det sjokolade, lakris, kaffe, mørk malt og humle. I tillegg kjenner man alkoholen. Søt, så semibitter ettersmak, hvor alkoholen varmer nedover halsen. Medium/tykk konsistens.

Bottle from the St Albans: Beer Shop. Poured black, with a dense tan head. Aroma of cocoa, vanilla and dark rum. Full, syrupy mouth feel. Roasted malt flavours, with some warm alcohol, liquorice and treacle. Building burnt malt in the finish, with dark fruit and bitter coffee. There is some sweetness, but it’s nicely balanced by the bitter, burnt flavours... Plus there’s a cat in a monocle on the bottle, so it’s an all round winner.

Picked this little lady up at Metro Liquors University Heights in Saanich after numerous staff stated their love for e Spanish beers they’d been getting in lately. Pours a medium, frothy brown head atop a near opaque body. Nose of very pronounced chocolate, nice roasty coffee. Yummy sweetness, mildly gritty. This is really good. Nice suggestion Metro Liquor.

330ml bottle. Pours a deep brown color with a large foamy head thats lasts with ample lacing. Aroma of roasted malt dark chocolate, coffee and trace of dark fruit. Taste is similar with roasted malt, dark chocolate andcoffee. Malty bitterness and a dry fonish. Full body, smooth and creamy. The 9.5% ABV kind of sneaks up on you. Well crafted beer. Worth checking out.

Bottle, thick stout looking pour, that is very black with two fingers of tan head, that sits in layers slowly dissipating. Aroma, roasted nuts, dark malts, and herbal hops. Mild up front, some subtle hops, some anise, a bit of sweetness towards the middle, medium mouthfeel, with a syrupy sweet finish.

Bottle. It pours an unclear, brown body under a dense, finger thick light tan head. The aroms is sourish, with some faint grass and vegetable notes. Coffee and dark chocolate too. Full-bodied and lightly warming in the mouth, with a pleasant sweetness. Coffee, dark chocolate and a touch of dms in the flavor. Lightly warming finish with coffee, dark chocolate and some sourish notes. There’s something not so pleasant in this one, but it’s a very fine beer anyway. 140416

DWG; Pours black with a moderate creamy, lasting and lacing tan head. Nose fills with roasted malt, dark dried fruity, coffe, dark chocolate, licorice and light alcohol. Taste is lots of sweets with bitter notes, both lasting. Body is full, texture is creamy, carbonation is flat to soft.
