Tasting at Papsø

Hazy deep blond color. The aroma is fruity, a bit spicy, with light alcohol and plastic. Good body strength, with sweetish malt flavor, light spicy profile, evident alcohol perception, but also some vegetables. Strong bitterness. Not bad, but the flavor could be better.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear golden with a white head leaving a discreet lacework. Sweet fruity nose with subtle traces of yeast. Medium body, sweet fruit - bananas and other exotic fruits. A little astringency in the finish but overall quite pleasant. 230410

JorisPPattyn (8248) - Ursel, BELGIUM - MAR 6, 2010
Small white head over hazy orange beer. Spicy nose, rootspices, dull grains, (fake) citrus. Dry spicy-citrus flavours. I suspect coriander, but not too much. Bit of sugar and restsugars retronasal. Palate is not new, all the former fading out. Alcohol surprisingly hidden, even in the MF, with exception of the sweetness. Not bad at all, but a bit heavy on the sweet side.

Unclear medium orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate yeasty, apple, apricot, peach, wood notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091212]
